Myself and several others from our walking group stayed during the Easter weekend. I have to say I have limited experience with hostels and wasn't expecting much, but this place exceeded my expectations. The accommodation is basic but very clean and squared away.

We were staying there after a 24 hour, 70km hike so you can imagine how tired we all were when we finally rocked up at 10pm. This was past the scheduled check in time and the manager was there to greet us personally outside. In all fairness, we were 'late' but he was very fair and had stayed back to ensure we got settled in for the night. Not only that, he even provided us with some drinks and snacks which was well received.

The next morning we all met for breakfast which was a combination of continental and full cooked breakfast which was outstanding.

The service was fantastic and all in all a very pleasant experience. Great setting and atmosphere. Would have no hesitation on returning and would highly recommend this place.

After a long day's cycling my friends and I rocked up without a reservation to camp and were glad to find a warm welcome, good facilities and decent food. The little camping area is delightful and the showers/loos for campers were good. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant - good value, solid food. The drying room was particularly appreciated. As in May 2022 take photo ID as YHA asks for it on check-in.

Never stayed at a hostel or YHA place before and was impressed. We camped and therefor I’ve not seen the rooms but the lounge and dining areas are everything you need. The whole place is full of hikers and bikers enjoying the brecons, staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast superb and cheap! Shower facilities onsite also very good.

Beautiful location and lovely staff. There was even a musician and a fire breather performing while I was there. The bathrooms were clean, although if you wanted a shower at peak times you had to queue, but that's to be expected camping. Dinner was nice and good value but breakfast was a bit small for the money.

Fantastic hostel with a helpful & friendly staff headed by Juan. I especially appreciated the evening meal service - and being able to buy a beer (wine is also available). Showers are lovely and hot!

We did an exclusive hire of this place. We couldn't have asked for a better place. Really enjoyed the space and the location. The staff were really helpful and set it up nicely for us.
We absolutely loved our stay and we'll definitely go again! 😍👍🏾

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights at this fabulous hostel. Everything about it was excellent.
The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful about places to visit in the area and where to walk and also worked incredibly hard keeping the premises clean and tidy.
There are a choice of nice spots to eat outside if you are self catering and want enjoy the wonderful views. Even the garden furniture is well maintained and somebody has gone to the trouble of planting up the borders and pots in the courtyard area which adds to the cared for feel of the place.
Thanks for a superb break. We will be back!
