Recently renovated, excellent traditional decor love that you have lots of little private rooms.
Drinks prices are reasonable. They didn't serve food after the renovation, but I believe that has now changed and they offer home cooked food

Sam smiths pub, if you love a cheap pint of lager which is always a great lively drink or ale here's your place. Open flame fire and comfy seating. Give it a go.

Visited on November 18th at lunchtime. I had fish and chips and mushy peas and hubby had the gammon. Both meals were well presented and good to eat.We had a quiet lunch sat by the window watching the world go by. An open fire in the room made it cosy.

15 of us ate there all served within a reasonable time by friendly staff, good sized portions and good pub grub. Would definitely go again and would recommend, also dog and child friendly.

Quite place. Beer price ok. Inside looks clean, but pee smell.. Need chemical cleaning and then would be all right. Sorry just 2* because of smell.

Nice clean and atmospheric. Not your traditional beers you would get elsewhere, however what they have is good value. Staff always friendly. Only downside is that it's CASH only - and the cash machine outside charges exorbitant prices to withdraw your money. Hence the 4 stars. If they got a contact less card machine it would pay for itself.

no point looking at reviews, not allowed phones in pub, not a bad idea but the practicalities of enforcing it are difficult. whats a man to do? take his carrier pigeon to pub and place notes on its talons? beers decent and foods good to be fair

Sam Smith pub. Not a bad pint, possibly banning mobile phone use soon. Fire in winter, beer garden for summer. No swearing policy. No music/TV. Decent prices on food.
