Staff were very welcoming and check-in was quick and efficient. The room was of good size for a budget hotel and well furnished. The complimentary breakfast was great and newspapers/magazines are available in the lobby. Overall great value for money.

The only negative was the air conditioning was very noisy. This was acknowledged by a note on the desk in the room and complimentary ear plugs were provided. Luckily it was a cool night and I did not need the air conditioning on although this could have been an issue if it had been very warm.

However, I would still stay at this hotel again due to its close proximity to the tube, great staff and complimentary breakfast.

Everyone is really helpful but I find this with all HIE hotels and cannot fault the cleanliness of the rooms. The shower was fab.

The location was perfect for the area. I felt the security was great which helped in such a busy area late at night. The breakfast experience wasn’t for me as it was chaos in the morning but this was because of the volume of people staying and the staff dealt with everything really well.

Overall a great hotel in a great location and I would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Shoreditch, I just prefer quieter areas. The staff are amazing and deserve a medal to keep smiling and deal with the things they do. Thank you for my experience

What a wonderful stay! My room was bright, clean, and warm; stunning and welcoming. The check-in staff were lovely and they could not do enough. I really appreciate what they did for me. The Slovakian gentleman at check-in was particularly nice - he didn't have to go above and beyond, but did. Wonderful service.

The bathroom was large and disabled accessible, which was much appreciated, fluffy towels also.

There aren't any plugs next to the bed, though, but that was neither here nor there for me - having to get out of bed to switch the alarm off was a good thing!

Loved this hotel. I was in London for a few days of shopping, and was quite nervous to be away from home during the Covid-19 pandemic. But I felt safe and secure at the hotel with all the measures in place to keep areas clean and disinfected.

Staff are great. I found them to be friendly, caring and helpful. The location is also really good, with restaurants, bars, etc close by. And to get into central London is easy with a bus stop right outside the door.

Family of 4. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff at breakfast were particularly good, ensuring plenty of clean tables to choose from when we came down (rather late) for breakfast. Although there was not a comprehensive choice for breakfast, it was so nice to have it (included in the price). Also breakfast was until 11 st the weekend (a lovely lie in!!). It was a short tube ride with one change to get to the West End, and still in zone 1, the hotel is only a short walk from Old Street tube station.

It's a good hotel for a few days in London. Perfect location close to Old Street station. Rooms are rather basic but still good, one downside being that the bed is too soft. We had a street-facing room and were not disturbed y the noise. Heating system worked fine, nothing to complain.
Breakfast is plain and not varied but it's still better than nothing and for a continental breakfast is good enough (cereals, pastries, milk). Would recommend for a non-pretentious short stay.

UK government requisitioned this hotel for April May June July. I was advised of this today. My reservations are in April 29/30 and May 6/7. There are no other hotels at this late of a date that will accept my reward points. Holiday inn is not helping by releasing rooms in other comparable hotels for points. To bad so sad is there attitude.

Room was small and had an even smaller TV. There was an odd smell in the hallway that made going to the room unpleseant. No Natural light in the hallways didn't help. Breakfast was sub par for a Holiday Inn. I'd not stay here again.
