Excellent stay. Only complaint was a little short on staff so no house keeping meant we were short on towels and we emptied our own bins. Had a great stay though and the food, and facilities were excellent!

Staff were incredibly helpful, friendly & approachable. Our fifth star would have been added if the room decor wasn't in need of an upgrade - but it was clean, smart & comfortable.

We had around seven staff staying in this hotel over two nights on the 6th and 7th of September 2022.

Overall, the hotel isn't up to much. Rooms are tired, food is poor, rooms are noisy, and the rooms during summer are just too warm as there is no air conditioning.

I climbed into bed at 11 pm, started answering emails and noticed I wasn't alone in my bed. Bed bugs were crawling over the bed. I reported to the reception, and I was told there was no other room. They couldn't refund me as only the GM could approve, and he was in the next day. Even though I had pictures on my phone the lady behind th reception wanted to go confirm. Why she felt the need, I have no idea.

I then had to take all my things to a new hotel, with no taxi offered in the pouring rain at 11pm ( yes night of thunder storms) and was left with a hotel at £197. I left my house in Scotland at 4 am, spent about 10 hours in a meeting and then took staff for dinner. So was exhausted.

After a decent night's sleep in the Jury's Inn, I returned to the best western hotel for my refund. I was told they couldn't issue the refund. They had to go through Expedia. Now a week down the line and still no refund or further forward.

Even without the bed bug issue, the hotel was overpriced and I would have looked else where in the future. But now with the bed bug plus poor service I would avoid at all costs.

Service received was decent overall. Not a surprise as with these low budget accommodation I know not to expect too much.
£50 for a night another £50 for damages (this was reversed within 5 working days). Parking well provided for. The most disappointing was the bed as they advertised a king size bed which was only two single bed put together. Well spacious room too.

Nice and close to the bus station for Harry Potter and close to the town centre with lots of shops, restaurants and entertainment. Staff are brilliant rooms are comfortable and breakfast has a great choice of hot items, cereals and pastries

Although asking for a £50 deposit for potential damage to the room, they've mentioned that each room is checked beforehand. Mine had the radiator broken, so obviously no one took the time to assess for the problem. Had to sleep without heating while the windows were also very thin and I could easily hear footsteps outside.

Usefully located for Central Watford. Free parking. Reception was welcoming and staff helpful, with bar on site although I didn't try the food/breakfast or drink.
Parking isn't obvious- a couple of spaces on the pavement outside the entrance, the rest is around the back of the hotel near the hand car wash place.
The hotel is no-frills, but comfortable rooms/beds with a good, hot shower. I gave 3 stars because the room didn't smell great despite being non-smoking.

My husband recently died suddenly Best Western White House Hotel would not refund the £87.30 for the room my husband could no longer use. Apparently death is no reason to refund. The Managers response to my sons call 'we have to draw the line somewhere'. Distinct lack of compassion or people skills.
