Where to start... First hotel reception team I met were lovely and welcoming. Parking is in a Morrisons round the back, not very well signposted and remember to put your car reg in the machine as the staff won't tell you to do it. Upon entering the hotel room I felt like I'd walked into a disgusting hostel. I normally avoid Travelodge as they're not the best but our company struggled to book elsewhere so kind of stuck with it, but this is one of the worst Travelodge's I've stayed in. The bathroom was grimy and dirty, shower curtain was dirty and mouldy. The shower head was dirty so when it was turned on it sprayed everywhere and created puddles in the floor. Soap dispenser didn't work properly. Floor and edges just generally dirty in the bathroom and the main room. The place in general was dirty so stains in the carpets everywhere, not just my room and each day I would see food on the carpets outside my room that were never cleaned (stayed 4 nights). The TV remote only half worked, the bed was extremely uncomfy and only hard pillows available (I need soft). What pushed it for me was when I plugged in my devices and needed a towel to remove the plug from the wall as it was so hot! I approached night reception who didn't care, asked why I needed to charge devices in the first place (stupid question) and said I need to tell the team in the morning. But also added nothing would happen as the hotel was fully booked and it's a weekend. I didn't eat or drink here so can't comment on that. If you don't mind spiders go for it but all of my team on the ground floor were consistently kicking out spiders, and not the little the ones, the big chunky ones! Watch out for the carpet robots in a morning as they're just left to their own device and if you don't look you could trip and fall on them when coming down the stairs or out of the lifts. They don't even clean the floor so no idea why they have them. If you stay in one of the rooms at the back of the hotel you will ensure loud fan noises through the night until around midnight, 1am so be sure to bring ear plugs! On the last day there was police knocking on doors in the morning, waking the team when they were trying to rest after working long hours. You will see police consistently at this hotel as I saw them 3 out of the 4 nights of staying here. Overall would never stay here again and will ensure the company does not book this again either.

The staff were friendly all round. But the cleansing of the room wow my 8 month old held on at the top of the double bed and the dust on his fingers shocking, then I wiped it, yuk I should of took a photo the toilet looks like it’s never cleaned just wiped over and the bed felt as though it was crumby. I think they could do with a whole new cleaning staff.

Basic but adequate rooms. Reception usually has a sign saying "back in five minutes"
No carpark at hotel so you have to park in Morrisons where there's a 2 metre height restriction, ok unless you're in a Transit van!
There's a 30 minute free WiFi allowance a day unless you pay extra for their "Premium Service"

I guess at least it's relatively cheap!

The hotel needs fumigating. There were 7 of us staying in seperate rooms all of which had bed bugs. All been re-located due to the uncleanliness of the hotel. Not only the rooms were dirty but all the halways were constantly full of empty take-away boxes and other rubbish.

Unsure if they were providing accomodation for the homeless but there was a constant smell of marjuana on one of the floors with people walking around asking for spare change in the corridors.

When the manager was informed about bed bugs she shrugged and replied with with "what do you want me to do about it"

Staying here with work, the room is very poor, noisey and cold. The room is covered in dust and various stains on the carpet, walls, towels and mattress. The soap dispenser is broken and the toilet is leaking in to the pan causing a semi constant flow.

The WiFi is down and not expected to be working until next week so my plans to work in the room a foiled.

The staff don’t seem to fussed by customer service and can barley string a sentence in English together.

Save yourself the agony and just avoid this place.

It serves a purpose, but good forbid that you get a room on the ground floor!!
We were awoken with people at our window, trying to take things from the windowsill. When we complained and requested to be moved, one employee said absolutely no problems, we'll get out sorted, the next person refused and said they were fully booked?!

Ultimately they did move us, to a room that has industrial aircon units directly outside the window.

Not the best ambiance for Christmas!!

Booked this for my father who was staying during the Christmas Period, At first I was a bit taken back as my dad has a disability and needs to be in a accessible room, The receptionist at the time explained that all the disability rooms are on the 1st floor where instead they should be on the ground incase of an emergency, So that made me worry will my dad be able to navigate etc, My dad complained that the first night sleep was not too great becuase of the bed being uncomfortable, But he's second night sleep he fully rested and enjoyed.

The only down fall massively was the wet room becoming a toddlers paddling pool while showering my dad, The drain needs unblocking or something as I could have done a parody of singing in the rain by the time was done showering him, I had to pull my jeans up to my ankles and take my shoes and socks off. The water made it all around the floors in the wet room and there was some puddles in the morning so it means that it may need leveling again in places.

Other than that, My dad enjoyed he's stay and the boxing day breakfast was a treat and it was delicious and just enough on the spread for the fussy Karen's that need that variety in their diet.

The convenience and laid back staff made this trip enjoyable and relaxing, Great work guys and keep it up.

Happy new year to one and all :)

Arrived fairly late in the evening (around 22h30 so not too late) and the check-in was okay; all door cards seem to need a second insertion [per door] to be accepted, not a big deal, but a bit of a frustration..

Leaving reception, and there is a "funky" smell throughout the hotel floors (will ignore the pile of clothes abandoned in the second floor landing) and in both of the rooms we had - we did have to change change as we'd booked a double room, but the first was a twin....and the single beds are decidedly dinky, barely wider than my shoulders..

Went to reception and found it was deserted, called the "all hours" number and got no answer [could hear it ringing though] but someone did return before the second call rang out, they changed us to a different room without quibble or much delay - other than they'd disappeared again in the ~3 minutes it took to go and get our bags, but they were back moments later this time..

Neither of the bathrooms have any *walls* in them, but do manage to squeeze in more plastic than Legoland....but seems to be functional, which is the important thing really........and for only twenty-something quid a night, you just about get what you pay for..

On the subject of getting what you pay for, steer clear of the breakfast options; yes, all you can eat [as long as it hasn't already been taken] but the quality of the food is terrible...there is zero chance that the "Heinz" beans were actually that brand, the sausages were pretty much tasteless, the scrambled eggs were congealed, the "American pancakes" looked more like Scotch pancakess and were half-hidden against the back wall (not that they looked particularly good) and that was pretty much the total of the tenner or so it costs each.....better off going to the Morrisons supermarket (pretty much next door, and it's their car park you use) and get a considerably better breakfast for something like half the price..
