Excellent is one of many words of the same ilk, that I would use to describe Plumber Manor . Professional yet friendly staff. Beautiful setting and decor. Outstanding food ! A real home from home experience. We’ll definitely be back ! Thank you Richard and the team.

I first came here for dinner 40 years ago, and when our BA flights to Milan were cancelled at short notice, I remembered this venue, so called and was lucky to be able to book for 3 nights. From the moment we arrived to when we left, the service was first class. The owner, Richard Prideaux-Brune and his staff were all very friendly, helpful and professional. The double room with the separate bathroom was perhaps the best one in the house. The cuisine was excellent and with fine wines. The teatime treats of home made fruit cake and biscuits were also much appreciated. I have no hesitation in awarding a 5 star. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

An absolute gem. Stay at an authentic manor house set in beautiful tranquil grounds. A combination of a classy historic hotel and being a guest at someone’s home. It’s welcoming and informal, whilst being slick and professional in an effortless way. The restaurant is excellent and exceptional value on its own, which explains its popularity with both guest and locals. On arrival, we were welcomed by Angus the black Labrador who wanders over to meet you wagging his tail. After being shown our room, some tea and melt in the mouth fruitcake on the terrace gets you off to a relaxed pace. G&T overlooking the garden, whilst perusing the dinner menu eating canapes. Forget Relais and Chateaux this is the real thing, unfussy and tasteful. We will definitely return.

An idyllic weekend spent with family in peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The staff were cheerful , pleasant and helpful and the front of house owners a delightful welcoming and friendly couple. Nothing was too much trouble and we hope to return for another family reunion next year. Thanks to everyone.

Went for dinner & a nights stay for my Mum's 80th. Hadn't been for 30 years but Plumber still delivers the old-school country charm and amazing (yet non-fussy) food I remember it for. Loved going back and can't recommend it enough - thanks to all for a lovely evening, night and morning.

I have been to Plumber a number of times over the years and it's one of the few places that never disappoints. On this visit I was introducing my other half to it for the first time. And it's fair to say it's charmed him too. The owners say they like guests to feel like part of the family and it's actually the feeling one gets. The house and grounds are beautiful. And the food is delicious.
A real home from home experience. We’ll definitely be back !
