The restaurant has been closed for months so no food available. If you get a room facing inland the incredibly noisy coastal building work starts at 6:30am, impossible to sleep through. The coastal building work has also closed all the lovely seaside walks into Old Portsmouth. Was lovely hotel some years ago; no longer.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Right next to hover travel, south sea and in east reach of Portsmouth.
Johnny at reception was just the best and made our stay even better by being so helpful recommending all the great places to go and how to get there.
Thanks the keeling family.

Very central right on the seafront, we overlooked the amusement area which was fun ( some people may not like it...rollercoaster and rides etc, but we did!) and had a good view of the sea. Restaurant was closed so had drinks in the Brewhouse and Kitchen nearby(10 mins walk) and classic seaside breakfast at the little cafe next door-ish to the hotel. Great comfy bed and pillows as always..nice and quiet, dark curtains, bath ,kettle, hairdryer etc

Arrived and staff were very friendly car park right next door. Hotel room very clean. Shower was excellent. Staff really helpful, only shame the restaurant was closed but plenty of places around to eat. Definitely stay there again.

there again there again.

When booking the room for 4 days nothing was on the website saying that the restaurant will be closed. We even got an email from the hotel saying make sure you book a table! You also have to pay extra for parking! Rooms have seen better days especially the bathroom. Not impressed.

"It's OK". Our room was perfectly good and clean, but the bathroom could do with a bit of paint. Very comfy bed and even in November with the heating off we were a bit warm!

" Very Poor Service."

Our room wasn`t cleaned and nothing in the room was replaced throughout our 7 days booking. There were pigeon droppings in huge quantity outside our bedroom balcony windows, and the windows in our room were filthy. We booked 3 rooms in January 2022 for the family and paid for in total in advance which was non refundable, and we were told just 3 weeks before our arrival in on August 6th 2022 that breakfast would not be served due to the storm damage back in January 2022. I would not stay at this hotel again due to this.

No restaurant since February due to storm damage so no breakfast!
and a tiny carpark with a £5 daily charge I would stay slightly further out and find a hotel with a free carpark and restaurant unless you want a view of a roof or a glimpse of the sea when standing on your sofa
