Basic very basic. Bathroom was missing a good clean stains on tiles scummy bath
Toilet wouldn’t flush properly then stopped flushing, discussed with front desk who said “ well it’s slow filling it can take half an hour “
So we left and moved on to another accommodation as we left it was only then the same front of house said “ oh we can move you” Sadly not good enough

Rather decadent structure in the nice Harlow town.
Several time nobody at the reception.
I asked 2 simple and common questions to the staff:
1/ do you have an electrical plug adapter? Answer: "I never see that 3 pin plug in my life". I found it in Harlow. I offered the shop address to Travelodge to support other clients.
2/ May I leave some hours the suitcase after the checkout? 2 different people answered, "I don't know, let me ask".

I didn't carefully check the rule during the booking, and I discovered that room resetting/cleaning is done every 7 days. Likely we remain 3 nights....
It never happened to me in 30 years of travelling. I stayed from USA Mariott to Vietnam hostels.
Initial cleaning conditions were acceptable, but after few days they become critical.

Concluding, insufficient Hotel even if very well positioned between London and the Stansted airport, just in front of Harlow station, where trains always stop.

They will sting you on the parking. The parking outside the hotel isn't for the hotel and you need to register your car registration with some tablet somewhere apparently that the receptionist won't tell you about. I reckon the reason they're so cheap is because they put little effort into maintaining their drab 2 star rooms and the other half of their income is fining people.

Nice basic rooms, close to public transport. Staff friendly. But hasn’t turned out to be the budget accommodation we had planned. Since arriving back in Australia we have had a steady stream of parking fines at £30 a time for leaving the car in the hotel authorised spaces. We had a hire car, so we’re careful to lodge the reg number with reception to ensure this didn’t happen. But sadly the fines keep coming, and the hire car company just keeps debiting our card for each one. The system has obviously broken down somewhere, but yet another today was just the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Actually have just been told that the £30 is just Avis’ charge to let us know each time! The fines themselves are still coming! I thought the trip itself would be the big expense … not the included free parking!

I stayed for 5 nights on a business trip. The hotel is ideal. The location is also excellent. Jodie on reception went the extra mile to make the stay as good as possible. Awesome member of staff. Definitely would visit again

Rooms we so dirty didn't want to even sleep the night with our children in the room. When we arrived, reception didn't even tell us what floor we needed or how to get to our room.. When in the room, hairs on the floor and toothpaste in the sink?? Decorating was so outdated. It felt like when we were back in the 80s, we still got charged £70 for the night!!
