Such a lovely stay! And Jackie and Tasha at reception were so friendly and welcoming and just made the stay even more enjoyable and better. They were so lovely and friendly and easy to talk too!! After a long days drive it was nice to have such a warm and friendly reception!! 5 stars to them and made the stay even better. ☺️

We have had a great time there I was in a wheelchair ♿️ and nothing was to much trouble for them. The rooms are to a very good standard and very clean. We would go again.

We were allocated room 204. Both the carpet & adjoining public passageways had not been hoovered, as there bits and pieces of dirt throughout. What was more concerning was that the carpets were very old, stained & dirty which was longstanding. Similarly, the kettle was encrusted with brown dirt which again was longstanding. We found 2 hairs on the sheet under the duvet. In addition, we found marks on the sheet. The bedding was white but appeared washed out.

When we spoke to Jackie on reception she agreed the bedroom was dirty & said she was going to photograph it to report it. When I pointed out the stained dirty hall carpets which appeared to have tyre (motorbike ???) marks on it, she said it was "bleach!"

After we complained we were offered another room, 1 door along the corridor from reception in which the carpet was satisfactory. We eventually went to sleep only to be suddenly woken at 00.04 by a lot of noise in reception and outside our window. When we looked out the window there were large groups of young adults who were in a noisy boisterous mood. The noise continued until 01.35 & we were unable to sleep. At no stage did reception do anything about the hotel noise albeit it would have been difficult for 1 member of staff to confront such a large group of young adults. We were later informed by the young female receptionist that, in her words, "a company had taken over the hotel" but we had not been informed either when booking or thereafter. The receptionist apologised but the cleaner & another member of staff who were behind the reception counter seemed to think our predicament was a joke & laughed. There is a failure of management at every level. Head office for allowing a hotel to fall into such a squalid condition, the manager for failing to inspect rooms as the dirty squalid conditions were longstanding & ensuring the cleaner was carrying out her duties as the fact the hall carpets were not being hoovered adequately or at all would have been obvious

Having been stuck in gridlock at Tamworth services, realising that nothing was moving ( it was like that for over 4 hours), we opted to stay at the Travelodge there. The 1st big plus was the very pleasant receptionist, advising us to book online, as we'd get a better deal, which we did. The 2nd plus was the condition of reception and the room, both were exceptional for cleanliness and space, with an aroma of soap, not the usual disinfectant. The room was great, we didn't expect much, being a services location, but out view was a lawn area and trees, and pretty quiet too. We opted for a "breakfast box", which had brioche, flapjack, cornflakes with UHT milk and orange squash. It was surprisingly nice.
All of the staff were friendly and polite and despite being delayed 12hrs, it was not a negative experience.

Overnight stop whilst travelling. Can't fault at all. Staff really friendly and helpful. Room clean and tidy. Dog friendly. Even though this was just off M42 motorway it was surprisingly quiet. Lovely dog walking area around Motel

It's on a service station - handy for fast food, expensive groceries (M&S, though) and a quick getaway. The staff were really pleasant and helpful, the rooms clean and adequate. It's quite small and the doors still use real analogue keys. I didn't notice a lift, but it only seems to have two floors.
Town is about three miles away along a fast dual carriageway through a kind of hellscape of out of town retail and light industry. You wouldn't want to walk it, but I imagine a taxi of some kind wouldn't be expensive.
