Star Anglia Hotel

I had a nice stay in this hotel. I found the staff accommodating, the room was clean, everything was working well, close to everything, and in a safe area. I appreciate others may have had a different experience, but mine was great.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times through the company not by personal choice. On this last occasion they’ve had £900 for 3 rooms for 4 nights so £75 a night. I’ve not had my room cleaned / made. No new towels now on the 4th day. The room next to me smelt very strongly of weed. There’s hardly any hot water and there’s no pressure to the shower and today the corridor smelt very strongly of human s*^t don’t know what’s going on! And after 9 you’ve got no chance of any reception service because the guy who works on reception is next door buying cans!! Avoid at all costs pay the extra and get the service You require at another hotel near by!!!

Poor hotel service. Attitude of manager: Mrs Karri was very off putting. She was quite rude and discourteous. Getting new towels was difficult, and they came out of a filing cabinet… stained/dirty.

Rooms don’t come with many amenities, no fridge, no fan, no AC, no safe, shower was not very hot. I regret not shopping around and getting a cheaper deal on a better hotel.

I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want a quiet night's sleep at all. The staff are Rude, man assualting own customer's shouting down the corridoor's after saying "disgusting to a blonde hair female" and "dirty bottom", is he staff?? no uniforms,
The water is not drinkable makes people feel sick. The hairdresser's i the building is absolutely awful lights left on all through the night, tapping, a female consuming and establishable amount of alcohol on the premisses and being sick & violent and xmas cake sick on, ear's dropping, to the room adjacent to it.
People shouting out prevention order's, door's slamming is absolutely dreadful banging- staff do it as well. Stench of narcotics in the building. Rodents down the stairs, A man with an Electric Car absolutely rude man to customer's poking his nose into people's private lives without Consent. Awful man need's medical help, a little old woman not in uniform absolutely Rude. Owner's giving name's out on social media ie Facebook.
I certainly wouldn't stay here at all. Badly run needs closing down.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on Wednesday 24th August 2022 for one night. We had a poor experience because our room had no hot water. When we advised the hotel of this we were told we should have mentioned it earlier. The inference seemed to be that the reason there was no hot water was that we hadn't reported it. We encountered an indifferent attitude. We were advised to email about our concerns which we did. To date, we have had no reply.
We would not recommend this hotel.

Just here to repair a disabled man’s scooter and was refused to use there toilet facilities.
Very poor management

I stayed here on business for 2 days. I was due to stay in the sister hotel one night and in this hotel the next night.
The chap on reception was extremely polite and helpful and managed to change my booking so I could stay in the same hotel both nights.
The hotel looks to be recently painted and revamped despite the rundown looking front.
The room was clean, a good size and all the staff very helpful.
Would stay again.
