Ibis London Thurrock M25

First the minus, it's on an industrial estate and it's a fair trot to walk to anything. The air con is not brilliant so you have to open a window which, as the hotel faces onto m25 , will make the room a bit noisy.

Now the biggest plus is the staff who are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is good value and the hotel is just off the m25 so an excellent place to stop over enroute. I paid £49 for a room and breakfast which represents very good value. The room was typical ibis , a good size with everything you need.

If the Aircon actually decreased the air temperature I would have given 5 stars.

An excellent , budget stopover hotel with customer service which is more than budget.

More than correct but I think that should be considered as « Ibis Budget » and not a regular one.

A.C was working well, very good soundproofing and nice staff.

But the bedding is not very good (hard and small bed for couple), the room is aging as the shower room and this is small.

We stayed in this hotel for a bit as temporary accommodation. The rooms are gloomy and out dated similar like a prison cell. The sink in our room had this horrendous odour coming through the drain. One day the room cleaning lady just knocked and opened the door straight away without even giving 30seconds to respond. I was half naked on my bed It was a invasion of my privacy. None of the staff smile and are not very welcoming. It doesn’t cost money to smile or to make people feel welcome. Seems like all the staff at the reception are Eastern European and from the same country. One of them named jolanta was laughing at me one day for no particular reason when I went to the bar. My wife was pregnant and she asked if they can warm up her food which they could have easily done and it was requested as a special circumstance however they refused to help. I would avoid this hotel and find somewhere where the service is better I think the manager needs to really sort the place out and the staff more than anything. If anything the regional manager needs to step in. Also there are rats in the car park running around occasionally.

Stayed for one night at this hotel. Staff where ok but not very talkative. Room had the smell of urine to it as soon as you opened door even though window had been left open. Kettle only worked if you held down switch. Otherwise was happy with bed, storage, bathroom and heating/aircon. Room needs either new carpet or a good disinfectant to clear smell as very overpowering.

Decent restaurant/ food and rather friendly staff.
The room very tiny but clean with a comfortable bed.
Unfortunately, it is a one due to the smell. An intense smell of urine / sewage coming from the bathroom drainage. The whole building smelled and even opening the window (despite cold weather) didn't help. Can't give anything other than 'poor ' for that.

Great rooms nice and clean smart .service in reception was brilliant. I'd recommend this place 100%.breakfast was nice plenty of choice.tea coffee fresh juice.again a touch above the rest in terms of premises. Good vibe for families singles couples.will definitely be back.especially with lakeside and Thurrock shopping on your doorstep.

My stay here was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and was impressed that it was cleaned everyday I was here. The hotel is in a good location for Lakeside shopping and public transport. Have stayed here on a few occasions now and will do again as it’s convenient and reasonably priced.

Very good location very close to shopping centre, good parking, I was staying with my dog which they accepted and played with. Very helpful and kind. Rooms were nice and tidy. J would definitely stay here again.
