It was value for money..The manager was very friendly although he didn't talk much but was very helpful and brought us extra pillows. Rooms are very clean except the carpet but the amount of people that come in and out of the hotel it's expected. Bedding and Towels very clean. beds were good too..We really enjoyed the Buffet Breakfast.. Breakfast area was very clean and well lit.. We enjoyed our stay..Good value for money!!!
It's going to be my regular when I come East of London..

We came here last minute
The receptionist on the phone said that oh they have a room for us, come
We went there, we paid for 1 night (2 adults) 300£+ 50£ deposit (which we will never get back i guess)
After we paid, he told us the news that he doesn’t have a room for us…
But we can go to their sister hotel
He gave us the wrong address
We went to 4(!) different hotels that day
It’s ridiculous
It’s not worth it
Stay away from this place!!!

Not a 2 star hotel, an awful building that needs pulling down. Deliberately over book rooms and fob you off to another hotel unless you refuse.

Run as fast as you can from the Park Hotel Ilford. I have never experienced a business operation so sleazy and unprofessional. After a day's worth of travel, I was excited to rest my head for the night. The front desk attendant was extremely unprofessional. I was told to pay a £50 deposit, which was to be expected given the caliber of hotel. However, immediately after taking my credit card, the representative told me my reservation had been moved to a different, nearby property. He then proceeded to say there was nothing I needed to do, and they would call a taxi for me. He provided no justification for this change in itinerary. At this point, I knew I had to leave. I booked a different hotel in Central London and left shortly thereafter. Apart from the terrible check-in experience, the building was dilapidated and dirty. The location was close to Ilford, but unsafe. If you are visiting Greater London, and in search of a budget hotel, do not bother giving any of your time or money to this joke of an establishment.

The only good part was the low price
There were homeless people in the breakfastroom. (No joke) staff did nothing about it

Would give it less, but it's not possible.

The carpet was sticky, the curtains partially falling off, divan was filthy, pillows almost non-existent, substantial crack in the tiles in bathroom, poo in the toilet on arrival, and our telly only had one channel; itv.

Each night we were kept awake by a lot of shouting and arguing outside in the carpark, at one point someone threatening someone else that they would break their bones. NOT a restful night!

At breakfast there was no bread, and no hot drinks available, not sure how long the scrambled eggs had been out, but gave them a wide berth!

Ended up leaving a day early because it was actually affecting our health, both mentally and physically.

The breakfast room staff seemed mostly ill-tempered and short of patience, though the lady who came to replace the towels and toilet roll was lovely, as was the lady who worked at the front desk.

This is not somewhere that would be appearing on Four In A Bed!

Dirty rooms, dirty carpets, suspect practices with deposits being charged in lieu of damages (illegal as post contract).

Staff generally helpful, but breakfast was very poor and no options for vegetarians/vegans other than dry bread/toast as marg/butter provided.

I'd say avoid.

An ok hotel to stay in for a few nights, bring some indoor shoes as the carpet is not in great condition. But apart from that, it kept clean but good to bring come drinking water for the kettle and wipes to give a surface wipe. The area has a big park and lots of shops and restaurants in the town centre that's only 15 mins walk.

Also be prepared to pay another 50.00 from your card as some dispost, which can take up to 3- 14 days to get back into your account, I am still waiting a week.
