St Giles Heathrow - A St Giles Hotel

Very nice hotel. I travel every 2/3 week to London and I use this hotel. The main lifts were not working so lucky I meet Victor that pointed me , to the service lift and where my room is. Also he help me with my luggage. The reception staff at the check in very cold( may be same customer training will be very necessary). You can see the improvement with the cleanest of the room week by week.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The main lifts were out of order during our stay had to use the service lift which was at the end of a corridor which could have done with a lick of paint. Just a small inconvenience though. Would stay there again though.

We stayed in the superior room which is lovely;spacious,big bed and very comfortable;had a great nights sleep.
The power shower is great, the bathroom is again spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Reception always smells so lovely when you walk in which is always nice and inviting. Also the food was absolutely delicious, we would return here even if just to eat in the restaurant, we were that impressed. I enjoyed the chefs special pasta the first night night which I throughly enjoyed. The second night we had Cesar salad,pizza and the pork;again absolutely delicious and throughly enjoyed. Looking forward to returning.

Hotel is nice enough but needs some TLC. Looks as though it is going through some kind of refurbishment but needs a lot more. Staff friendly and room was good enough for our needs. Good cleanliness in the room and the towels were wrapped in plastic to show that they were clean. If you're looking for vfm in a busy part of London, then this is as good as anywhere else.

Hotel i felt was a little run down but overall was OK to stay for a short visit. We were there for a conference.
Conference rooms were up to a good enough standard.
Food was really good on a positive note!
I would stay again if I needed.

Staff were great and very helpful which is surprise in London when most people are miserable and argumentative generally! (I'm from the North of England where we are mainly quite friendly).

Cancelled my room for no apparent reason leaving me stranded at midnight in an unfamiliar town. Superb.

EDIT:

Shortly after publishing my review and feedback on the hotel's site, I was personally contacted by Charlie, the Hotel Manager, who profusely apologised for my experience and wanted to know what exactly happened so they could get to the bottom of why I was treated this way. She expressed extreme disappointment and confusion as to why the receptionist didn't offer me the room I had originally booked as it definitely was still available.

Charlie suggested that the receptionist may have been unfamiliar with how the systems worked there or perhaps misread some data leading her to not being able to give me a room. This was disappointing, but I am pleased to have been given a reason and an apology for my experience.

To help make up for this, Charlie offered me a complimentary stay at a time of my choosing - a kind gesture and was appreciated.

I hope to return to the establishment sometime in the future to experience what the hotel can truly offer, despite this unfortunate first impression.

Great room. Very friendly receptionist. Breakfast was good. Close to take aways and short walk to train station. Car parking onsite. Great value considering location and 25 min train to Waterloo.
