The positive: Clean, inexpensive by London standards and comfortable. While Spartan, the bed is comfortable. Free parking given for guests as well.
The very unfortunate negatives: in the wee hours of the morning, there was a very unfortunate incident which left a very sour memory. Bottom line: this hotel would rather kick out it's guests rather than ascertain truth. Police had to be called, individuals awakened and it was most indelicate. I will not stay at this hotel again, especially as an American in a foreign country. In the US, it would have been handled entirely different, but this is not the US. I an American keep that in mind. Respect is the name of the game: be respectful at all times, of the local laws, etc. Do not expect the police to come immediately and be prepared to stand your ground if the police are needed. The good news on the police is they are fair, respectful and will follow the law.
