A relatively cheap hotel, particularly for central Cambridge. It is in a good location, and the rooms are reasonably well equipped, but you can tell the hotel is busy and likely understaffed. A dirty towel was left on the back of the door when we moved in, and the shower needs some cleaning. Overall not bad for what you pay for, but far from luxury.

The weather was hot. The rooms and corridors felt like ovens.
The service was nothing special. The feel from the reception team was not welcoming as I would expect a hotel reception to be. A little off putting while they were sat having a chinwag.
The breakfast was not the best, im sorry to say.
The pancakes tasted powdery, the sausages stodgy for example
Having no fruit salad was a shame and the selection of pastries were very limited. The price per head for a breakfast and quality would need a little adjusting.

The location was perfect as it is walking distance to the centre.
The parking is good too. The access is to the rear and under the building.

Our overall stay was fine. Cambridge is stunning and a place I would visit again.

Stayed in a family room, the room was OK, bed really clean with nice white sheets, nice beds made up for the my two children,
We stayed in the room on o e of the hottest nights we only had a small fan which we could really sleep.

Downside dirty in places, bath had mould inside, and didn't drain properly, the toilet had brown water stains coming from the back.
Carpet in the main room had coffee stains,

A little walk to the center, good price. Shower curtain directs water to the floor, no air con, and a lot of noise from main road. Beds are really comfy if sleep was possible. Ask for ice from bar for my own drink in my room and was allowed straight away.

The room was a bit tired, stains on the carpet, the paint on the walls was worn.
In the bar area the team couldn't provide me with a kids menu which was very disappointing as my daughter has allergies, I ordered the sausage and mash to be told after the order was placed there was no mash and no sticky toffee pudding.
On the plus side the young lady on reception was helpful and we where able to check in early. This was appreciated.

Never again, Travelodge. This is how I just have found my room at 9.30 pm when I came back after dinner. Just how I left it this morning.

Tasteless breakfast with no orange juice (?)

To be honest, the team tonight has done their best to solve the problem.

This morning I complained because there was no shampoo /shower gel, but there wasn’t any when I came back.

Ended up with a room right near reception, so every time the door from our corridor to reception opened and shut we heard it loud and clear....throughout the night. Bathroom sink was clogged up with hair, gross. Breakfast was good. Service ok. Good location to the city....lovely walk along the river

I was hoping for an affordable, simple room to just spend the night there. Literally, all I expected was for it to be clean. Unfortunately, it was disgustingly dirty. I have never experienced anything like it. I did not take off my shoes on that carpet…the dust webs on the curtains did not make it any better. However, the worst of all was the state of the bathroom…with dead insects squashed on the wall and blocked sink…Needless to say, I did not risk using the shower 🤡. It looked like no one opened that room for a while and not checked it before we arrived….I have also witnessed the ‘cleaning’ of a different room: the stuff was using a roomba like robot to ‘vacuum’ the carpets. It obviously doesn’t do the job. This is shameful for the whole hotel industry. It’s not acceptable, and honestly a health hazard. Stay away!! 🤢 (Not including pictures as disgusting)
