Clean and tidy room and a very friendly staff member on arrival all looked good for a great stay. However ...
... repeated very loud door slamming opposite our room from 4am until 5.30am spoiled any chance of a good sleep. The doors on the rooms do not lend themselves to being closed quietly without great care. Earplugs were not available as we asked.
When leaving in the morning a different staff member looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights when we said good morning and responded "I can't remember what I was going to say." At least this brought a smile our tired faces!
Location was fantastic for an overnight stop from North East to South West but be aware it is located on a noisy crossroads with traffic through the night. Bring your own earplugs.

Perfect location for our family function. Rooms were basic but clean and tidy. Service was good. Would recommend a nights stay here.

Bed was clean. Our daughters bed needed to be shaken as it was dusty. Bathroom clean. This is the second time we have stayed here. Conveniently located for us. The place needs a face lift and new carpets.

The rooms are a bit dated and could do with a tidy up. Missed not having a net curtain at the window too. As we were right by the door it was pretty noisy when other guests were going in and out, lack of consideration on their part. There are notices up to be quiet

No breakfast, tired carpets, no one services the rooms during the day.
Staying in the area for more than a night? Go to the Premiere Inn down the road.

Very friendly and helpful manager and staff. Travelodge Customer service and computer booking a mess, it lets the hotel down, would have been a hundred percent if it was working properly

I used to come to this Travelodge regularly before Covid. First time back since early 2020. Free parking, pub and shops nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. But rooms looking tatty. Carpets are disgusting, obviously construction workers and dirty boots have taken their toll. I didnt want to take shoes off nevermind socks! Bed comfy, sheets immaculate. Bathroom tatty, but clean and decent shower. And i had a quiet peacefull night.

The rooms were a bit dated, but clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was fine apart from one of the most slippery shower trays I have come across in years. This place has no breakfast room, and so I had to drive off somewhere to eat. The restaurant next door is a steakhouse, and was not open for breakfast. Arrival was OK, and the guy on reception was friendly, but on leaving it was totally abandoned without so much as a sign saying cheerio! Maybe for an emergency, but this 'hotel' is not for me at all.
