Had a really good 2 night stay here. Room was clean and modern with a comfortable bed. The shower room was good but the wash basin was in the room not in the bathroom. There is a mini bar in the room and plenty of wardrobe space but no draws.
The staff were helpful and polite.
The breakfast menu was limited offering cooked breakfasts with no continental option. Also they don't have any pork on the menu so don't expect bacon with the eggs. The food was hot and well presented though, and tasted good too.

We would definitely use the hotel again. It is in a handy spot and not too expensive. Thanks!!

Hotel is very nice but having to hand over my credit card details at check is not great. I am unsure if this info will be deleted after my stay. Single room I had was small but very nice. The main down point on the room was the mini bar / fridge was very noisy. Which was near the bed. Woke me a few times in the night.

The hotel was not good. I stayed at what they call an Executive King. But that is a serious overstatement. The bed was standard double not king. There is no basin in the toilet. After finishing your business you have to walk to the other side of the room for a wash. The staff weren't exactly courteous. They were almost like statues. The worst of all is the area. One of the worst. I should have done my research and asked my company to book me a stay in a nicer location.

A unique place to stay. We had an executive twin with a view onto the bustling streets below. A good location in an area full of colour and yet close to the financial centre. A good sized room for two and windows down the length of the room. I also loved the wooden floors and bath tub. The beds were comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean.

I recently stayed at the Whitechapel Hotel for 2 nights. The Hotel is based on quite a busy road in Whitechapel with plenty of shops and restaurants along it. Once we checked into to hotel, we had to wait several minutes for the elevator to arrive. Once we got into our room, we were extremely disappointed in terms of the size of the room. You could barely get around between the wall and the beds. I thought our room would be decent as we got the premier twin room instead of the standard. I did not like the shower either, the floor was not leveled properly and the water went everywhere on the floor which was a slipping hazard too. Our shower made a loud whistling sound as it turned on. On the Sunday, we were woken up by the sound of the fire alarm going off. The hotel staff did not tell us anything about a fire drill going off at all. I also noticed that the minibar was incredibly expensive and I would not recommend buying from it. Whenever I stepped out of the room, I immediately got a smell of curry and other food in the hallway even though the restaurant is several floors below us. The air con did not work properly, it kept on shutting off and wasnt cold. The main lights were extremely bright and the lamp by the bed did not work. I also noticed that there was hairs in the bed sheets and in the towels.

Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel and I do not believe that the hotel should be rated a 4 star hotel. We certainly did not have 4 star experience.

Helpful staff allowed me to check in early so I could drop my things off. Room is pretty small, you get what you pay for. However, it is cozy and everything needed is here. I thought it was really cool that you put your key card into a slot to turn on the lights and give power to the room. Brilliant idea that I have never seen anywhere else. They ask for your phone number at the time of check in and message asking if everything is ok. One of the best experiences I've had at a hotel.

Terrible dirty hotel. They also run scams there. When i stayed at The Whitechapel I ordered room service once…. One night, singular. They then charged me the same meal every night I was there, I only ordered once. When i went to check out they said “we have it on video”, refused to show me, yelled at me and then told me it was my fault they mixed it up while somehow still saying I ordered it. Do not stay here if you have any sense of what a normal, nice, clean hotel is, you will be severely let down. They then told me to leave (yelling, not talking) and never gave me my money back. DO NOT STAY HERE, its dirty, has the worst and rudest staff. Id rank it a negative if I could. If you respect yourself, your health and your well being, youd never stay here. WORST HOTEL EVER.

The worst hotel you can imagine. Looks like a 5 star on the pictures but reality is totally different. Barely one person can fit in the elevator. Beds are so tiny, you can't even move. Pls avoid this place if you want to enjoy your times in london.
