Ibis Styles London Croydon

I’ve stayed in the hotel for a week or so, it is a standar hotel, with all the basics amenities and services. Nothing really to say in a negative way. The breakfast, as I said, basic, but really nice and the croissant fresh and tasty. The room I had was quite big, as we had a wheelchair. Bathroom good size too.
The staff has been really professional and kind. Maybe the only thing I can say is about the cleaning every day. They could have done better.
For everything else, nice stay.

Nice rooms. Nice beds. Accommodating staff when we checked in late, 1am. However, in the morning, could not get hot water out of the shower for 20 min. Had to call front desk, they sent someone to get a bit of warm water but no pressure! Showered under the trickle! Complained to front desk, no manager on site, desk staff apologized and did nothing else. Didn't really seem to care. That plus the fact our room was at the end of a labyrinth of hallways has convinced us not to recommend the place. Not at that price! Breakfast was very good though.

It was a nice and cosy place to stay during our holiday. The location of the hotel is good. Breakfast is tasty but not really an English breakfast. Just a good and basic meal to start your day. The room was good and clean. Sleeping was no problem since the bed slept nice.

My wife and me stayed there for three nights. We did nt have a very good experience to say the least. It was very basic and smelly. There was a constant smell of drains.
I could nt work the shower hot tap and the sink was blocked. I reported to a very nicely dressed member of staff who seemed to acknowledge my complaint.
Over the next 2 Days none of my complaints were dealt with. Breakfast was acceptable.
The hotel looks great from the outside.
They seem to focus mostly on outward appearances and forget what it is they are supposed to do, i.e.to look after customers. We won t go there again and we wont be recommending it to people.

Overall I would not recommend that people stay here.

Pros:
- Relatively cheap for accomodation in the area
- Complimentary breakfast is of a good quality.

Cons:
- Showers are horrendous no water pressure and impossible to adjust to a reasonable temperature
- The quality of the pillows is terrible.
- Walls are paper thin, I am in a room near the front of the hotel and I can hear conversations word for word as people walk past.
- The room feels really dated and could probably be brought up to date.

Firstly, before I start writing, I hope that the new year 2021 will be a year of goodness, livelihood, health and joy for all the employees of the ibis Styles Croydon Hotel, starting from the manager, the kitchen workers, the security guards and all the families, in all sincerity, is beautiful and wonderful hotel. Excellent services. Respected workers and diligent in their work. We had a nice experience with you there, and on the occasion I extend my sincere thanks in my name, and the name of my little family. Thank you for the hospitality and the reception. We wish you a happy life

Unfortunately there were many people inside the premises of the hotel and outside being extremely loud and disruptive while the staff was non existent at all times. Also, I should mention the fact that everywhere appeared not to be clean generally.

Your reception staff are great and all deserve a medal in an otherwise difficult hotel to be employed at.
This is not a dig at Accor, but a very honest view on the area this hotel is sited in.
I've never stayed in a hotel with so many “unsavoury types” of people who seem to pester your team. It's clear the security guy is needed.
I would like to offer you advice on this but really it's just a difficult area.
What's brilliant is you directly face the hospital where I work....and I don't know what I would do without you. The other options in the area are less appealing!!!

My room....a regular commitment...is generally very good, clean and well serviced.
The biggest problem I have is with the bedding!
Yep...that's right the bedding.
Quite what you kitted the laundry out with originally, I have no idea. What I do know is that this hotel doesn't keep King sized bed linen.
Your poor hotel service staff have the difficult task of making my king sized bed up with standard sized bedding. I sort it out with my own....shall we say....creativity. But really it's poor. And I bet it's not the maids fault.
All else is good.
