Homely, clean & comfortable. Good price. Comfy bed, but needs 2 pillows per bed. No night glasses (drink) in bathroom. Shower very good.

A quaint country inn! That it is 500 plus years old is even better. Rooms are adequate but for the price no complaints. A shower would be nice but under the circumstances of the building, can only do so much.

Lovely hotel. Comfortable bed with crisp white sheets. Simple but well cooked meals and friendly welcoming staff.

Raw food served to children Rooms filthy - spiders nest, old food under beds, dirty in multiple beds Low ceilings
BLACK MOLD IN THE BATHROOM!!
When my partner questioned the owner she was incredibly rude and dismissed all of this .
Just avoid and go elsewhere.

Entertaining, for the wrong reasons
Large room, confutable bed, quiet location. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted great. Good value for money if they were no issues.
ISSUES`! There was a notice on the door says, ‘due to staff issues we can’t serve dinner’. Booked into the room but there was only one set of towels and only 2 pillows had pillowcases that were clean, got more towels & pillow slips from the reception, other feedback reports the same, so I suspect an attempt to save on the laundry bill by the hotel.
We then had a fire alarm which the receptionist couldn’t stop, and she had to wait for someone else to come stop the alarm.
Went out to for dinner, when we got back to our room at 10pm there was a couple in the room above us moving about, they then started having intense physical exercise on and off got the next 3 hours, complete with banging headboard, squeaking bed and creaking floorboards. At 1am they left in a taxi!!
6:40 am, another fire alarm. The fire brigade turned up, after a guest had called them as there were no hotel staff. The fire brigade managed to get hold of someone from the hotel and they turned up after 7am. He was rude didn’t apologise to any guests and said someone had been smoking in one of the rooms.
Not the worsted hotel we’ve stayed in but it’s in the list!
BTW. the man from the hotel who turned up a 7am appeared to be the same man getting in the taxi at 1am!!

The room was pretty shabby and the bathroom was covered in black mould. There was no desk to be able to work at. There was no breakfast served one morning without any warning

Great example of a small country pub. Food and atmosphere were excellent, great people and service caused me to stay till closing. Overall, a very enjoyable time.

Great English inn. The rooms are smaller as it is an older building. The food was excellent. I had a sirloin steak that was done right.
