Premier Inn Leicester South (Oadby) hotel

I like the consistency of Premier Inn. The bed is always comfortable although a bit less so now they have replaced feather pillows with sponge ones. Friendly and helpful staff. Try to get room 112 it’s bigger than other rooms. No aircon but they put fans in every room. The pub next door serves food but I was told the breakfast isn’t tasty. Has a good play area for kids. All in all no frills and good value for money

Our experience was amazing! We never told anyone we had booked a stay for our wedding night. Upon check in, the staff and my husband were talking, they realised and so, on wedding night, we came in to find our room decorated with towel swans, cards and rose petals! Just totally did not expect it and how thoughtful! We were blown away by the hospitality and care and would highly recommend!

We stayed in room 102 which is a family room, it smelt of damp, the extractor fan in the bath room was so full of dust so it wouldn't work, and the rest of the room didn't look like it had been cleaned recently as it was so full of dust and cobwebs. Also because of the location in the building it was soooo hot, there was a fan but it didn't help much. We knew someone else in the hotel and their normal room was much better so it may just have been this room.

We arrived at midnight, after a long day on the road and checked in to find hairs in the bath, stains on the bed and carpets covered in dust, hair and hairclips. We asked for a refund and checked out immediately. Not impressed.

Rooms were well maintained, felt the layout was a bit odd and not great lighting by the dressing area. A strange noise from the thermostat would happen every so often during the night which disturbed my sleep. The WiFi was down and it wasn't fixed for some time. It would have been nice to have been informed about it.

Staff were helpful with getting our bags to the rooms.

Really lovely friendly staff, very clean, quiet but close to amenities and comfiest bed ever! Very pleasant stay, would definitely recommend. Only reason for it not being 5 star was that the restaurant which I assume is linked to it was a bit rubbish but the hotel itself and surrounding pubs were great.

Tried calling premier Inn numerous times to cancel our booking for 7.01 23. No one answers the phone. Despite the website saying you can contact the relevant hotel directly, you can't. Terrible customer service. Had to put one star to complete the comments but not worth that.
