We enjoyed an over night stay in one of the Shepard’s Huts. It was so beautifully laid out with so many cute additions like fire pit, marshmallows to toast, coffee machine, wood burner and complimentary bottle of wine. We ate dinner and breakfast in the pub - food was yummy and very generous portions. Highly recommend.

Charming pub in beautiful surroundings. Went for the Llama trek and lunch - All staff were helpful and friendly, tasty food, local drinks selection and the Llama trek was thoroughly enjoyable. Particular shout out to Cecily who was a fantastic guide. Would highly recommend!

I love the Merry Harriers - Staff always welcoming, food delicious, cocktails - amazing!
We went to the Mama Mia open air cinema in the beautiful garden - what a great night. So nice to chat with everyone in the bar afterwards...a perfect end to the evening. Our room was so comfortable and relaxing I could have slept on and on! Thank you to Martine and all. We will be back!

Drove for an hour to get to this pub today on a recommendation, and went and did one of the walks mentioned on their website. Arrived back to the pub to be told there was a two and a half hour wait for food. The pub was empty at this time, and there was only a couple of us. I am surprised that they do not make provisions for walk ins for eating.
Very disappointed and am very reluctant to try again, which is a shame as it was a stunning setting.

The wife and I had booked in a Garden Room (4 star only because of lack of space) for 2 nights whilst at a wedding celebration. A couple of calamities occurred at the wedding resulting in staying two extra nights in a Shepherd's hut which are 5 star. Louise and all the staff at the Merry Harriers really bent over backwards to help us out. The staff were all amazing. I can't thank them enough for their help and would certainly recommend staying there.

We had Sunday lunch here after a sighthound walk. Very welcoming, good service, accommodating and very friendly staff. Lovely warm atmosphere. Food was generous portion sized. The veg was al dente to the point of being beyond crunchy. The beef was tasty and again little tough. I shall return though as the atmosphere was so English pub.

Fantastic stay, so very very helpful and efficient. Wonderful stay in the Llama room to wake up and literally see Llamas out of the French doors - a must for the experience. Great supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate AND marshmallows for toasting on the fire pit on the beautifully lit patio area outside the room! What's not to like, we will definitely return. Amazing hosts, see you soon guys, Wendy 👍

Lovely cute Shepherd's huts with pun and llama trekking.. Perfect vacation. Hospitality, food and homely vibe are worth mentioning.
