Quite disappointed when I turned up at 11pm with my two children after attending an all day event! They told me they had no room! They had actually given the room to someone with the same name and surname! what’s the point of having booking a ref number? Took about 30mins to find me a room! Upon entering the room, it reeked of smell of vomit! If it was any other time we would have asked for another room! It was gone midnight and we had an early start the following morning! Used our own spray to get rid of the smell! The toilet had some brown stains and the whole place is very tired and outdated! Needs refurbishment! Staff? Tried to give me extra 30mins to check out however there was no apologies! Complete lack of consideration for their customers’ needs! They could do with some training on the DPA as I ended up getting an invoice (3 rooms - another guest with the same name!)! I don’t think i will ever be staying at this place! We have used Premier Inn in different cities and always had a pleasant experience however because of this experience I have to think twice before using Premier Inn again!

Location is handy for the hospital (15min walk) can't believe its good for much else though? Room was clean, bed comfy but aircon didn't work so the room was uncomfortable in 26 degrees heat! Staff were the only plus point, so helpful and friendly. WARNING - DO NOT EAT IN THE BEEFEATER. The pub that joins this premier Inn has very sub par food. Ribs tasted burnt and were dry, chicken the same and the breakfast!! Any cafe will serve you a better fry up.

Abysmal - room was in roof - it had a tiny window and a fan but no aircon. It has been 30deg C today and was even hotter in the room with no way of cooling it down. I asked to be moved to another room on a lower floor - they said it wasn't possible as they were full. This was compounded by the inedible piece of gristle I was served as a rump steak at the beefeater next door. The replacement was little better - no apology or offer to make amends - what an utterly dismal experience - I checked out and drove the two hours home to sleep in my own bed.

Arrived in town for a wedding . Spent the morning set up the venue . Couldn't even check in until 3 pm . Had to be back at the wedding venue at 5 pm . Staff just don't care and made a big deal of trying to find our booking , wanted a booking reference number rather than our name .

PRETTY GOOD
Definitely a decent standard compared to the other chain of hotels that I won't mention (that you could probably guess).

The fact that it's on the main road doesn't mean that it's super noisy.
Only real complaints is the lack of lift (even though there's only two floors, it's painful to lug bags up one flight of stairs) and if you're in Room 17, you'll be right next to the entrance to the staircase - which means that it'll be noisy because everyone comes and goes from outside your door. Not great if you're a light sleeper, but it didn't bother me.

Best thing to do is ask for a room that's on the same side as the car park (i.e. not on the main road) and on the ground floor.

Nice rooms, friendly staff !! Breakfast was a little friendly, huddled into the middle of the restaurant surrounded with people moaning about life ! Prefer peace and privacy first thing, but staff really worked hard to keep up, so well done them 💪

The room was a bit tired, but it was clean, except for the duvet cover which had a mark on the underside. We didn't go looking, it was spotted as we pulled it back to get in. The receptionist was very apologetic and replaced the cover immediately.
