Went on a Sunday late afternoon for dinner with friends. The 10 of us, 6 kids, all were looked after by the waiters. The food (carvery) was great as always and we stayed for after dinner drinks in the comfortable bar area. A perfect choice after being outdoors in a cold day!

Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. There is an incredible breakfast, lunch and dinner menu; I ate the second best burger I've had my whole life there, easily.

Warm, comfortable rooms that create a luxurious and relaxing stay.
I'll be back.

Stopped for a drink as had half an hour to spare. Nice interior with plenty of seating some outside seating all on patios around the pub. Quite expensive beer over £4 a pint. Menu looked good and reasonably priced.

Positives: food was nice. Staff very polite
Negatives: we were a table of 7 booked in advance. After being seated it took a member of staff nearly 20 minutes to offer us any beverages. After placing the drinks order it was another 15 minutes before receiving anything.
Long story short, the staff turn over in this establishment is shocking hence why no one knows what they're doing and the delays on service. We will not be returning. It's a shame because that place could be a gold mine if run properly.

Great freshly cooked meal.
We had the good fortune to go to The Grasshopper Pub recently. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. The Manager was very friendly and helpful and at the request of one of our party was happy to show us around the hotel rooms. They were absolutely delightful and had been well thought out. The honeymoon suite was a delight. Looking forward to returning.

Nothing special anymore. Food was quite disappointing, we paid £9 so the thinnest, toughest steak ciabatta. Also the sausages they serve for children are appalling. Waitress was brilliant, really friendly and helpful couldn't fault her.

I have eaten here twice recently (including yesterday) the setting on the green on a Saturday afternoon being the perfect way to chill. The food is spot on, beautifully presented and perfectly balanced flavours - I have had the breakfast and the home made ale pie. As for the haddock topped with a free range egg - exquisite .

Never ever again will I go here great location but the staff are not only miserable but one woman (think she may own it) is by far the rudest woman I have ever came across in my life! I was eating my food and this woman came outside to where we where sitting and in front of everyone shouted who’s car is this..
(I had to park funny as the car park is tiny and I wanted to leave space for people to get out)

I said me and she continued to shout DEMANDING in a very rude manner that I move it in front of everyone else in the garden! Not one please or thank you
I then explained why I parked that way and she began to tell me I was wrong and “move your car now we park like Soldiers”

Once I moved my car the other customers (that I didn’t know on other tables) also said how rude she was and couldn’t believe how she spoke to me. we all decided to leave...never ever again will I go here!
