Ettington Chase

Stayed here on there summer deal, with an overnight stay, dinner +drink and breakfast. It was well worth it!

Lovely clean and spacious room. Nice view of the grounds.
Dinner was good and staff were very attentive.
Breakfast was great, buffet style usual puts me off but it was clear staff were keeping on top of it to make sure it was fresh as possible, and there were plenty of options (cooked, cereals, fruits, pastries).

Leisure facilities could do with an update, as pool was somewhat dreary and dark, and the gym was a bit cramped - but they were clean and functional.

Overall it was a comfortable stay and I would recommend this hotel.

Really nice place. We stayed here for 2 nights during the week and really really enjoyed the facilities nice rooms and good food. There is a nice little gym with a beautiful swimming pool and a sauna all you need really for a daily workout. Tense to get a little busy towards the weekend but the staff and facilities are geared up for the numbers and it did not seem crowded. There are plenty of sitting areas to relax and a good bar. The restaurant was really nice well attended buy lots of staff but we did find the we had to wait for a food longer than usual. But when it came it was nice and there was plenty of wine to indulge in in the meantime.

Lovely place for a weekend getaway. Rooms need a little attention at the far end of the hotel but they were clean. 5⭐ review bcoz of its spa facilities. Nice little gym with almost everything needed for a great workout if you bother ....Great hot tub...swimming pool and Powerful Sauna. No steam room unfortunately but its okay as everything else makes up for it. Great breakfast and dinner.

Lovely evening meal. Over priced drinks as always in hotels.
Its supposed to be a 4 star hotel.
Our double room was very dark & need over a makeover.
Restaurant was very dimly lit also.
A lot of areas need redecorating.
The swimming pool in need of a refurbish. But nice & warm.
All in all 2 star +

Perfect for our requirements staying near Stratford and also local to a conference. My original booking had gone a bit wrong but it was not only put right but everyone was notified so that the stay was smooth and the room upgraded without question along with a meal provided in the restaurant. Nothing seemed too much trouble and bed was luxurious and comfortable with a super huge bathroom. Very peaceful for a hotel and this meant a good night’s sleep.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Much larger than the last time I stopped here. The staff were friendly and we had a large double room. Good facilities with a swimming pool. The rates were very good compared with Stratford prices. So had a good deal. I would have liked a different mattress. There was a choice of pillows. Would definitely stop here again. Plenty of parking spaces and beautiful grounds. Enjoyed our stay.

Nice place, great food. Beds were too hard for us, and we couldn't find any of the extensive grounds to walk around! Gym looked great. Jacuzzi and pool were good but the associated facilities and changing rooms are all in need of updating & maintenance.

Relaxing atmosphere - would return again if the beds wernt so back ache inducing!

I had a night here as a personal getaway. The staff were friendly, although happily watched me struggle through a door which is too small for a suitcase without coming out from the desk to help. I didn't manage to check out the fitness suite or swimming pool but I was given the details and entry codes for those promptly when I arrived. The bed in the Suite I stayed in was comfy and there was ample room. The WIFI worked well, with a few slow moments. My complaints were that I could hear the music being piped loudly into the bar seating area from my room which was quite distracting and there was a door which banged everytime someone went through it, almost vibrating the room and waking me frequently. The shower handle came off the moment it was touched although went back on with no problem. The shower itself was fine, but the bathroom did look like it needed a bit of attention. The walk to the room was also quite long, and I was not warned about this or offered help with my bags. An offer to look after a bag so I could come back for it on another trip might have been nice.

Overall a fine stay for a night and offered me the space I needed and a comfortable bed, but there are many things which could be improved.
