A wonderful hotel, welcoming staff & fantastic room with ensuite shower. Very clean with minature toiletries. Our bed was very high with a canopy, very comfortable giving a good night's sleep. The shower was hot & very powerful. Breakfast was a selection, cereals, croissants, local free range eggs poached, scrambled or fried with a full English. Nothing was too much trouble when we asked for something not on the menu. Unfortunately as we left another guest was being abusive to the owners, totally rude which was uncalled for & inappropriate. A wonderful hotel near all amenities, will be going back.

Everything about this hotel was outstanding .
Val was just a dream on arrival . She explained everything about the town and told me and my Mum and sisters some lovely places to go .
The rooms were fantastic , crisp white bed sheets , beautiful decor and furnishings .
The breakfast was absolutely delicious and presented so well .
This place is a must if you visit Bury St Ed’s .
We will definitely be back .

Staff V. friendly, breakfast brilliant, room clean and well equipped. Only marked down because of the road noise in our bedroom. Even with the window closed we could easily hear the frequent traffic outside.

Lovely, lovely little place. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. The rooms were a wee bit small, and the ones at the top are challenging if you have mobility issues. However, a warm welcome and high standard awaits you.

We had an overnight stay in a lovely room in the Tudor annexe. Exposed beams and uneven floors gave the room the required character. There were the odd cobwebs dotted around in deep corners, between the beams and the fireplace which were perhaps a feature too far though. The bed linen was fantastically crisp and white, lovely to get into. The breakfast was good as well, car park a little tight if you have a large car.
