The hotel feels and looks very new and clean. The welcoming staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are new, good sized, have a large and comfy bed with a flat TV, kettle, small shower room. The hotel has a bar/restaurant which offers good value food and drinks. This is also where the breakfast is offered. The breakfast here is cheap but good value for money, offering normal breakfast items and vegan options. The hotel seemed quite quiet when we stayed here, offers plenty of free parking and is only a 15 minute walk into Bury St Edmunds town centre.

Decent rooms, tad small but you get what you pay for. Air con in the rooms restricted to 25°C and won't go over. Still had a good night sleep so that's always positive. Food wise you won't starve but feels tad bland both breakfast and dinner. Overall a working class hotel.

I’ve stayed in this hotel before and I would’ve chosen to go somewhere else but the choice isn’t for me to make. I reviewed this place two weeks ago and it was a poor review and is yet to appear so here I am again. Everyday here someone has something bad to say about this place so it’s not just me being a grump. This place is abysmal the staff are half asleep, the food is microwaved and still takes an hour to reach me regardless of how busy it is! The cleaners are rubbish they only make the bed and then go, I’ve had drinks bottles in my room for days and they haven’t been removed. Overall shocking performance from a seemingly nice looking hotel, the only plus side is a nice bed and decent sized rooms.

When I was visiting Travelodge in April 2019, I think it was fairly new. The rooms were clean and nice.
The main issues I had was WiFi that was constantly dropping (paid £3 for 24 hour access) and breakfast in the morning (addition £5 or £7 per person) . No one was actually checking whether there was enough food, because at one point all the trays with bacon, eggs etc were empty and we actually had to ask someone to top it up, because people had nothing to eat. Same with bread.
Also, the toaster wasn't working properly and the pieces of bread were getting stuck inside, which is very hazardous.
Overall, not a bad experience, unless you expect anything special from breakfast.

New Year's Eve stay. Clean and tidy room. Bar/cafe and breakfast facilities. This new hotel is just off the A14 at the sugar beet exit. 10 minute walk to town. Plenty of parking with a Starbucks next door. Price was very cheap but that could have been due to very advance booking and the fact it was NYE.

Very nice hotel. Warm, friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and have what you need for an overnight pitstop. Overall very clean apart from dusty skirting boards and tea stains on the wall where people have missed the bin. Also, the nooks and crannies on the toilet seat would benefit from a scrub with an old toothbrush. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

This hotel was new and kept clean, decent child beds (better than most chains), air con worked well, usb socket were a good idea, windows opened, view was good. Room lighting was good. Bath as well as shower. Great value.

Clean rooms but very bare bones no hair dryer etc in the rooms and very noisy you could quite plainly hear those in the room above thumping about. Food on offer was basic at best. I know this is a cheap hotel chain but I have been in much better
