White Hart

The white hart always has a lovely atmosphere about it and feels natural but yet full of life. The hosts Peter and Isabelle are amazing. Always full of energy and cheer and treat you like family members not customers. The food is superb and the bar has a large array of drinks for anyone’s pallet. Flo is a very bubbly young lady who compliments the team along with Matt behind the Bar. Well done team keep up the hard work.

Based on reviews seen, my daughter took me there for a birthday meal. Beautiful old building and must have some history to it. Quite a few diners there tonight. All the meals I saw looked beautifully presented and all looked inviting. I had the 8oz burger (that was big!), my daughter chose crab. I had chips with mine and had to wait for them to cool. She had new potatoes and a garlic dip that had the most concentrated garlic flavour that it's possible to concoct. For dessert, I had Eton mess which was very nice though the cream was slightly runny. My daughter had creme brulee which was too much for her to finish (lucky me)
I don't know how much it all cost, but when she got the bill she said, quite surprised, "Is that all?" Excellent value for money.

Had a few bar meals here which have all been good. Definitely the best quality of the pubs in Martock (but a bit more expensive). If you like conventional chips, beware! The triple cooked version here are more like potato wedges and tend to be very well done.

We used to live in Martock and regularly went to the White Hart. Things haven't changed. The bar was buzzing. The restaurant was full and the food was superb. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Neither of us could fault anything. 😊😊 We will definitely be going back

Writing this on behalf of my son-in-law and his two friends ... having walked a mile down the road in the rain they were welcomed and really appreciated being informed that one menu item was no longer available BEFORE they made their choices ... they thoroughly enjoyed the food and cider and were full of compliments about the White Hart when they walked back in. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel!!

Food is fantastic as is the service. A great treat out and a great atmosphere
