Corner House Hotel

This hotel is very nice regarding the physical facilities the rooms are very well presented and they also provide a nice English breakfast however i was woken up to smashing on my door by a young blond lady with curly hair they walked past my room and claimed to of smelt cannabis after which they said i was smoking in my room they tried to come into my room whilst i was asleep i was also naked which was an extremely uncomfortable situation they then called the police who did nothing as they should off. This hotel is extremely biast and rude to younger guests regardless of how you present yourself i felt very uncomfortable and discriminated against due to me being 18 i hope no one ever has to deal with a situation like this there again

Bad rooms and rude staff who did not want to fix the problems. One of the rooms stank of cigarettes, there had definitely been someone smoking in there. Came down to reception to report it and ask to change rooms - instead of apologising and immediately offering a switch, the hostess glared at us and sent another member of staff up to the room as if to check if we were being truthful. We hung around in reception for 5-10 minutes waiting with bags, until the other staff member came back and confirmed that the room did indeed smell disgustingly of cigarette smoke. The hostess did not even apologise at this point, she just ungraciously went “we’ll put you in this other room then”. Thankfully this one did not smell of cigarettes, but was extremely hot even with the window open as the radiator had been left on full for quite a long time. We mentioned that one of the other rooms our party had booked had a bathroom with pubic hair on the walls - again, we didn’t get an offer of change on that one, and the shower just wasn’t used in that room. Luckily we only had to stay overnight. Finally, our cooked breakfast was missing some items we had ordered. Will not be returning.

My partner and me spent one night here in double room. Room was clean and well equipped. Bathroom a little small but ok. Staff polite and welcoming. Breakfast was really good. Full English plated up. Help yourself to juice. Cereal and pastries etc....we didn't use the bar and restaurant but looked like a nice place.maybe next time when we return.! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Nice down to earth comfortable hotel and restaurant. Lots to like - decent menu, lovely bar - the local Fox bitter was lovely - nice ambiance and friendly staff. Comfy room, nice bed, basic bathroom/shower. Lots of car parking at the back of the hotel. Only issue was road noise on my room at the front of the hotel from early morning.

I liked it and the chamber staff were lovely 😊

Good place to stay for Musgrove park and town center.
Bit of a drain smell due to the age of the building,
Hence the 4* not 5* ..

Unfortunately 2 weeks stay was a complete disaster. On first night I found bed bugs in my room. I rated it 2 starts thanks to gentlemen in reception that moved me into other room in the middle of the night. Next day I was approached by Manager I think asking what happened and do I have pictures. I said that I have pictures and videos as it was not nice. For the rest of my stay I felt bit like intruder there like it was my fault that they had bed bugs in the room. Second thing is some of the staff was extremely rude when it comes to serving food. One of the hotels I will remember for long time. And will defo not visit this place again.

We really liked our stay here. The only complaint we had was that the beds are not very big or comfortable. The breakfast was really nice and service was excellent

really sweet and beautiful place! the staff is very kind and polite. breakfast is delicious and well-prepared with a lot of options. the bed is comfortable and bathroom clean. might not feel worth the price though, because it is quite expensive.
