Went back for our 25th anniversary as we got married here. Had afternoon tea. Everyone so helpful, surroundings are fantastic, we had a lovely walk. Food was amazing and a staggering selection of teas.

What a great way to spend an afternoon and fantastic value for money.

Also got a surprise from the team with an anniversary plate, demonstrating the care they show.

The venue is beautiful for weddings and we were excited to be attended one. We arrived the day before from Ireland at 2pm only to be informed there was no food available until between 7-8pm. (same menu as lunch when no wedding takes place) They had two weddings and didn’t cater for anyone else between breakfast and 7pm (this happens every day if a wedding takes place) The working staff are fantastic and even accommodated a change of room next day for myself and husband (layout of our 1st room was the problem) Whoever runs this place is the problem ; no snack food available, no fridge, no safe, no cash, only card payments etc etc…… we did have an amazing time at the wedding we were there to attend.

Attended a family wedding and thoroughly enjoyed everything! The estate and the grounds were so beautiful - like out of a storybook. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The food at the wedding and the daily breakfasts were excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Only negative was that our room was situated across the driveway from the party room, so it was very noisy both nights until about 1am. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay and would highly recommend as a wedding venue and hotel.

We have been lucky enough to attend two functions at Fanham Hall in the last month and on both occasions we found the service and hospitality second to none. The staff were flexible and dynamic to our changing needs on the day and the food was excellent. The accommodation was functional and comfortable.

Fanhams Hall is all about its surroundings and ambience, with beautiful gardens and a fine house that offers relaxation and the opportunity to chill. I was privileged to work there for 10 years and stayed in almost every room in the main house (and a few in the annexe). Apart from a few glorious original rooms in the main house, don't expect it to offer 'all mod cons'. The building is listed and some areas cannot be knocked around to fit air con or other modern gizmos. Just soak up the vibes and feel the atmosphere. Since I used the attic as my office I have only been a few times for afternoon tea, but it remains a wonderful place.

The Hall was not always a hotel. It was built by a banker for his family, then decades later it became Westminster Bank's training college and then (in the 1970s), the college of the Chartered Building Societies Institute. Thousands of the great and the good of banking passed through when learning their profession. It was also used occasionally as a film set, notably for Ken Russell's 'Mahler' in 1974 (the drinking scene outside the Austrian house). The main staircase was used for an advertisement featuring famous British actor Kenneth More.

For me it is a special sort of place. I could almost write a book about it.

Iv been here 4 times for afternoon tea, it's such a beautiful building and fantastic grounds. Today was so lovely, they have all the Christmas decorations up and it felt very special. The lady that was working all by herself managed all the tables and didn't get flustered at all, I was very surprised when she said she's only been working there for 3 week's. The afternoon tea was beautiful as always and will definitely be returning.

Went for a wedding here. While the grounds were beautiful and the service adequate my biggest gripe is the food. I had a vegetarian tart as an entre and steak as a main. The vegetarian tart was dry and lifeless and the beef was a poor cut badly cooked. I didn't stay for desert as my stomach had endured enough. Wouldn't go back.

Will be doing a proper review on this venue in a few months, but for now the food is really good!! We met the head chef who gave us his take on the choice of menu, which was really interesting. Had dinner with my partner and must the food was on point. Deffo recommend.
