It’s a lovely hotel. The garden is beautiful. The first room we went in wasn’t great it had a banging door which was very annoying every time someone went through but bless the girl on reception with the glasses she fixed it and got us another bedroom which was lovely and peaceful. Only negatives are paying for swimming pool 25 pp and the bar upstairs looked nice but needed just something else to corporate.

Fantastic location on the banks of the River Windrush. Sprawling estate with lots of places to explore, plus the ruins of Minster Hall just up the road.
We had a Feature room with its its own patio on the banks of the river.
Excellent food and good service from the staff.
Well recommended.

Family wedding, beautiful location, enjoyable meal. Dining room somewhat cramped but everybody had a great time. Didn't stay overnight so can't comment on rooms. Smaller children need to be supervised as open river.

Some parts feel like a 3 star hotel charging 5 star prices. The lunch menu is OK, but £16 for two small pieces of cheese and some biscuits is strong money. The waterside rooms are a little cramped and accessed via a steep narrow staircase. Other parts of the hotel may be much better but I don't think it's worth the money.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff and in a beautiful setting right on the river - would definitely recommend and also return again! The rooms were small but really well maintained, nicely decorated and clean with lovely amenities, toiletries and very comfortable bedding. Only downside was the room was quite warm with no fan or AC, which I imagine on a hot summer day would be unbearable. We loved using the tennis courts and the spa was so nice - we had such great massages and the facilities were super relaxing. The Swan Inn adjoining pub is great - delicious food! We did feel that £25 per person for breakfast at Minster Mill was a bit of a rip off, so we drove over to the next door village Burford and enjoyed coffee and pastries there instead! All in all a great stay but a few tiny things could be worked on.

We visited the hotel and ordered a hamper that included cold meat and cheese. Me and my partner had food poisoning few hours after consuming the food, with serious symptoms needing medical help. The hotel denied responsibility. We are reporting the issue. The response was at least disappointing and definitely not to the level of a luxury hotel

Everything was of the highest standard. The food was fantastic and the service very attentive.
The room, although rather on the small side was very well appointed with everything you could wish for in a top hotel.
After a fabulous breakfast, it was lovely to have a walk round the extensive grounds.

We have stayed here previously when it was really good. We returned a few years later and I think it had been taken over by new owners. What a shame! It was awful, food in the pub was very basic but mostly the atmosphere was dead. Seemed like there was a lack in staff and the ones there were unhappy. Really hope it returns to previous standard
