The Craigellachie Hotel

The most amazing experience in the middle of Whisky country! The staff, hands down, makes the experience. Mark, in the whisky room, was awesome! He had all the best suggestions and was just fun to be around. Ben was in the restaurant and the Whisky room and was also so much fun to chat with and had great recommendations for Scotch. Elyse in the restaurant was so attentive and was always upbeat. The wonderful receptionists made you feel at home as soon as you walked in and made you not want to leave.
Try their own brand of scotch and definitely have dinner at the Copper Dog. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I will absolutely be back as soon as possible and will stay a bit longer if I can!

Our server was very attentive but not overbearing. She was pleasant and friendly and took care of us throughout our visit. It was a very lively place without being too noisy or too quiet. It had the perfect buzz to it. The food was 1st class. My smoked salmon was really fresh and tasty and my wife's monk fish tacos were amazing so I was glad I managed to get a taste of one. The two steaks we had (one sirloin and one ribeye) were cooked to perfection and so succulent they just melted away everytime we took a bite. We would definitely recommend the Copper Dog to anyone wanting a fantastic dining experience and will definitely be returning to visit again. Another fantastic stay and time here. Everything about this place is just great. As everyone else says, the staff are great and the location is spot on. Get yourself down to the bridge for a swim and then back to the bar for a dram! First Class!

Had a great stay here. Wonderful old hotel with very friendly staff. The Quaich Bar is brilliant and highly recommend going there if you are a lover of scotch or even if you’re just starting out.

Exploitation pricing for children and drivers, but I noticed later that the thrifty locals had ordered cans of iron bru and water for their restaurant table.
The menu follows suit with a £10/£20+/£10 pattern for any starter/ main/dessert.
The 8 oz steak and sauce £35.

Food was pretty decent quality to be fair hence 3* but the extra stars will be from those who are not price sensitive.

Our second visit, and it's apparent that COVID has taken a toll. The Copper Dog lacked a dynamic menu and good service. We hope it improves for our next visit.

Hotel and restaurant were great. Highlight was Ben at the Quaich whisky bar. He knows exactly what you want and what whiskey you will like.

Great wee place! Lovely, clean rooms and a friendly atmosphere! The Internet a tad slow but not a a major thing. Food excellent and Dog friendly! Deffo will be back!!!
