Top service by the new barman. He did a great job with a smile on his face. The food was really pretty good, which surprised us as it was as a Sunday in April. Big servings, fresh salad, nothing fancy, just the basics done well. Very satisfying.

Pub grub was terrific. Steak and venison pies fantastic. Served quickly by friendly staff and portions were very generous. Nice 🍺 garden too for enjoying the sunshine and tranquility of surrounding area.

Lovely hotel. Good food ,comfy and a really good price. We were there with teenagers in a family room. It is very quiet even in the evening. The bar does not disturb the hotel guests at all. Our room had a double bed and bunks which was ok for a few nights. Good size ensuite and we noticed that the room was serviced daily which is really nice. They filled up tea ,coffee and toiletries. We had a meal in the bar one night. Fish and chips were fabulous. X

Friendly and welcoming pub . Garden has superb views of Lochranza castle and bay. Food is standard pub grub....well cooked and large portions . Fish and chips and the roast salmon are particularly good. No reservations....but at busy times may need to wait for a table.Large whiskey selection.

If you're hungry, then the food is surprisingly good here, and good value for money. Nice selection of beers and an amazing selection of whiskies. We didn't stay, so can't comment on rooms.

Very appreciated hotel for visit to Arran. Simple, compact, warm & cozy room. Spotless ensuite with big tub shower. Excellent bar with every possible spirits. Kitchen serves small but perfectly prepared meals of a mixed British-American taste. Completely satisfied by staff and location.

Grumpy barman, seemed annoyed we wanted to use the establishment. Food was average at best more a quantity over quality type place. Room was exceedingly hot, it was registering 32 degrees Celsius on a tracking device. The staff who brought the food were friendly. You may be lucky and have a better experience, but not alot of choice in the area, just be prepared for a lack of politeness if you do enter.

Booked two rooms and received confirmation of this then three days later got an email stating that the booking was cancelled. No phone call, just an email.
I called the hotel to ask why and they gave no reason and took no responsibility nor did they offer any assistance in finding us somewhere else to stay.
We had a meal in the bar one night. Fish and chips were fabulous. X
