Spread Eagle Hotel

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, it is an old building, but it is kept well, and very clean. Breakfast was lovely and the bar was well stocked, we stayed with 2 children and 2 adults and I would highly recommend, and will be back again

The friendliest locals of any inn I stayed at on my cross-border tour, and my room had an en-suite jacuzzi bath! Landlord seemed to be helping out several guests with different problems, shame there was no on-site food as the local Indian place is not super. Would definitely book again.

Stayed here while walking the Cuthberts way, in an emergency when it was too wet to wildcamp. Phoned up and the host could not have been more helpful. The room was excellent value, clean spacious with modern facilities - coffee making, flat screen TV, shower over bath. Breakfast was very tasty (especially the mushrooms) and laid-back atmosphere. Would happily stay again. Very nice stay.

Bit tired and run down, but the staff and guests were friendly. Biggest issue was that our room smelled of stale smoke and I really hate the smell of cigarette smoke. So it may not be an issue for others. Nice bar area for night cap.

We stayed in a deluxe double that was clean, well decorated but a little tired. Breakfast was of very good quality and available between 8.30 and 9.30. Theres no lunch or evening meals available unfortunately. There is a bar but not much on tap to suit us craft beer drinkers. I'd stay again, great hospitality.

Only popped in for a drink but the service was very good & reasonable prices.

Ace Hotel everything clean and friendly went for work reasons all local shops on the doorstep too

Room size was great but floor was very sloped. No dinner available.
