SCHLOSS Roxburghe, part of Destination by Hyatt

Lovely room, bathroom and shower fabulous, we were in the courtyard. Drawing room has fantastic views, lovely day so it looked really great. Only downside for us was the breakfast, very disappointed. Fruit to accompany the yogurt was 3 blueberries, 1 raspberry and 1 strawberry. Bacon was raw, poached eggs were hard , half slice black pudding which was hard. Not what we were expecting after a beautiful dinner previous evening. Hotel will be amazing I'm sure once all construction work is complete. Staff were all lovely.

At last, a Scottish Borders hotel where courage and the finance has turned a tired estate house into a luxury destination. The external fabric has been repaired and restored. Interiors have been refurbished to five star standards. Their spa with swim outside inside heated pool opens later this year. The golf looks good and the Food is excellent even without a Michelin star. Our own Bavarian Schloss with a Scottish accent, definitely worth a visit.

We were in the area and asked for recommendations for lunch. Out of the few we received we chose this one. We weren't disappointed. A beautiful setting. We had lunch in the bar with our two dogs. The staff were very friendly and kindly brought them both some water. Service very professional and food was delicious.

Simply stunning! Amazing boutique hotel with an impeccable golf course, super-friendly service and jaw-dropping interiors. One of the best small hotels we have ever visited, will definitely return!

Our stay here was amazing, from the friendly staff that went out of their way to accommodate us on our anniversary to the beautiful golf course. We will recommend this hotel to anyone that is making their way to Scotland. We even thought about skipping Edinburgh and staying a couple more nights here. The rooms were very clean and very spacious, also the bathrooms were just about brand new with heated floors…… We will be back to visit this hotel again

We were upgraded to the best suite in the old “castle”. It’s been recently redone and is a gorgeous blend of old and new.

The food is fantastic at SCHLOSS and the staff couldn’t be nicer and more eager to give you the best stay.

Our main reason for coming back would be the spa. It’s the best we’ve ever experienced. The outdoor, well-heated infinity pool has a swim out feature from the inside with automatic doors - it’s so cool! The inside of the spa has the most incredible array of loungers, a gorgeous fireplace and really cool lighting features. The new treatment rooms are lush and the staff gives the best massages. The outdoor sauna is incredible.

The whisky library is also a hidden gem. We tried some really rare whiskies that I’ve not found anywhere else - Bruchladdich Organic 2011 and Glenfiddich Grand Cru Cuvee Cask Finish 23YO.

One of the managers Ben is an absolute gem and really went above and beyond to give us a great stay. The SCHLOSS will definitely be out regular local escape.

Had a great night stay on Saturday 11th Feb. Had a beautiful room in the new extension, with great views. Dinner in Charlie's was an experience to behold. The food was sublime as good as I've had in a Michelin starred restaurant. Well done Chef. Marie recommended the wine for our dinner, she chose a Rouge Cerise. Great choice. The Valpolicella Dessert wine is a must with any dessert. Great service , great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
