We stopped here as it has a great outdoors area. Lots of seating and a playground for the kids.
The menu has a good selection of traditional pub meals, pizza, salads and sandwiches. It was very busy when we were there so it is clearly a popular place. In busy times you have to eat inside but staff are understanding about ordering and keeping tables if the kids are enjoying a play outside while waiting for your order.

Impressive building from the outside, standing right on the main road. A big menu and specials boards offered to us too. Standard pub grub really, burgers cooked nicely. Slightly long wait for food, meaning we didn’t decide to stay for desserts. The front of house team never came to check on us during our meal, and took a long time to clear our plates. Service could be better

We stopped on the way up to North Wales on Friday and had excellent meals. It was also dog friendly in certain areas so perfect for us. It was so good that we stopped for the carvery on the way home today and that was just amazing! Will definitely return.

We ate here for dinner after a long day hiking Snowdon. Lots to choose from on the menu with all the great pub classics. We had the steak and ale pie and minted lamb burger, both tasted great. Great portion sizes. The staff were so friendly. Would come back again when in North Wales.

Just found this pub by chance when looking for somewhere to eat whilst driving around and it was a great result. We popped in about 3pm looking for a quick snack to find they had a great little pizza van thingy out back. And a great kids play area. So parents and kids both happy.👍

Firstly the restaurant/hotel is in a stunning location and looks very appealing from the outside but unfortunately we where left very disappointed by our visit for food. We phoned ahead as not staying local and where told food is available and tables free so no need to book. We made the 40 minute journey to find a massively reduced menu of no more then a handful of items due to an event the night before. Staff didn't apologise and didn't seem bothered at all. Very very disappointed

Stayed here for 3 three nights. We found the place on a hotels search page.
Loved the decor especially the snug area, A log burner in the bar area was very welcoming after a day's walking in the rain
The breakfast was very nice, choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, and a full cooked breakfast with nice thick cut bacon, we only had one dinner whilst we were there but that was excellent value for money and generous portions.
I would highly recommend this establishment. Although out in the wilds of North Wales it is on a main road with easy access to nearby towns.
Fantastic views from our room that was on the front and is a good base if your into hiking, site seeing or like to ride the Welsh Highland railway that's only a few Welsh miles up the road from the hotel.

Booked the Sunday carvery whilst staying in snowdonia. There was a huge selection of fresh meat and veg. Unlike some other carveries, the veg was very tasty and well prepared. Excellent service too from attentive helpful staff. Highly recommended.
