We had a Sunday lunch here and we couldn't have been made to feel any more welcome!!! Veggie option was more than my wife could manage but being a dog friendly pub, ours was able to finish off the extra gravy we had requested and then been presented with! An old style pub/hotel but modern management principles! Please visit and enjoy :-)

We came here twice for evening meal with our 2 dogs. Good food from the kichen & excellent service from Danny both times. Water & biscuits kindly provided for pups & much appreciated. We will definitely come back on next trip to Bala.

Had an evening meal here tonight. Very dog friendly pub. Booked a table online and it said it was fully booked. I had a phone call within 30 mins to say they had an error on their end and we had a table booked for us. Arrived and placed the order. It took a bit longer than expected but the staff kept coming and reassuring us it was coming. When it did arrive it was worth the wait. Lovely food. Would definitely visit again.

Food was nice but service was slow. We were a table of 8 and the first person to get their food had finished eating by the time the last person had started their food. The guy on the bar couldn't remember one drink at a time. I think he's new there, but he should be able to at least remember what he's asked for.

Had dinner here a few times during our holiday in Bala. Really enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. I highly recommend you eat here when in Bala. On different occasions I enjoyed the lamb kebab starter, fish and chips, burgers and chips and the lemon cake dessert.

Called in for bite to eat at 7pm on a Friday. The barman took my drinks order before telling me they weren’t serving food. The customers after me were then given menus…. On asking again about food in case I had misheard the girl at the bar asked her colleague and came back and told me food is only for residents. Very odd indeed. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful!

Very polite and accommodating staff, we were going to be later than our expected arrival time. Phoned them to let them know, no problem and even offered cutlery in case we wanted a takeaway as the kitchen was closed by then. Very atmospheric bar and restaurant. Very quick service on the breakfast which was perfect as we were on a rush for a kayaking course. Room had everything we needed including fast Wi-Fi, shower was great. It was also nicely cleaned after our day out and even cleaned up after my unorganised friend. The bar also provided a great display and wide selection of drinks.

Secluded Carpark on site, Co-op and petrol 3 minutes walk away if you need them.

Will definitely return. And would most certainly recommend.

Very difficult to order a vegan meal because of uncertainty over ingredients, then then food was mostly terrible. Chips and beer were nice and friendly staff. Wouldn’t go again.
