My stay here was agreeable and adequate.
Check-in staff were polite and easy to approach as well as housekeeping staff.
The room was a good sized space. My room was on the top floor, 10th floor, and I was happy about that but the lifts are slow.
The bed was 2 singles pushed together so was somewhat uncomfortable.
Shower had no glass door to spot water splashing onto bathroom floor so had to put towels down.
The breakfast was OK but slow service on replacing items and there were no pasties at all.

For 1 night stay it was adequate for a no frills hotel.

The room was far too hot. I stayed there for one night and couldn’t handle the heat. I am accustomed to heat too. I stayed in the lobby until 3am just to cool down, took multiple cold showers. There’s no ac, but they did provide two small fans which were useless. They just blew hot air, plus the room was too big for two small fans. Windows don’t open for security purposes, which is understandable. Overall, would never stay there again, I book a hotel to sleep in and I couldn’t even manage two hours of sleep. Worst experience in that regard. Breakfast was good, and the staff were somewhat as helpful as they could be for that situation. I would go to say that the heat could be dangerous in some circumstances, do not stay here unless it’s snowing outside.

Stayed at this hotel for one night on a Saturday recently. Upon arrival we were told by reception there is no AC in the rooms with a couple of fans in the rooms instead. The staff told us we could have free water bottles from the reception anytime. The staff were very friendly and accommodating but the hotel needs to get AC installed in all rooms especially with the current heat. We couldn't open the windows or open the curtains due to the heat created from the blazing sun. Even when we got back in the evening after dinner the room was still very hot. The room itself was ok but could have done with better furnishings especially for the price paid. The car parking is on a first come first serve basis. The car park charge is cheaper compared to a multi-storey.

Rooms are very run down and dirty. The toilet seat in our room obviously was not cleaned. There is no air con so the rooms are unbearable to sleep in with how hot it is. We did not have breakfast the second morning as there was no food out. We asked and was told it was being cooked. After 20 mins of waiting, we decided not to bother. Won't be returning to this hotel again.

Slap bang in the middle of everything. The staff are amazing. Room 🤢🤮where do I start. The only good is the bed was comfortable. Until I saw the duvet poking out of its cover 😱 and I slept under that?? There were still damp stains on carpet. The shower drain was blocked so pulled up the drain cover 🤢🤮. The shower itself was great. Deductions:Compass Catering reep the $$$ and put nothing back in the hotel. Advice: please sell this hotel to a company that knows the business and stick to catering.

Nice front desk people and willing to help. Room small- just a place to sleep. Bed comfortable...nice linens. Water hot and shower was good. Great big towels. Website said "view room"...ended up on 10th floor so excited to see a great sunny morning vista...too bad all the windows are blurred out! Very disappointing.
Can hear voices and conversations from other rooms on each side- a bit disconcerting. If need a place to sleep and go, this is the place.

Ridiculously close to the CIA which for the price, I couldn't even fathom.

Great gig stop if you're travelling in for a band or event at the city.

Breakfast was well made, but get there early before they run out.

Rooms were great, we got the deluxe. However, some finishing on the rooms needed fixing: the windows were peeling at the sides, skirting board was missing a panel, and doors were chipped.

Overall, a decent gig stop hotel. Well worth the money!

We stayed one night in an upgraded room, which cost £192. The hotel is a bit rough around the edges. Our room had a grubby bin, cracked coating on the drawer unit, and there were patches of wall that had been hastily repaired. The bed was two single mattresses on a double base, not the most comfortable, and the duvet was too small.
The shower was lovely and had no issues with hot water.
Location is perfect for the international arena, literally a few metres away, and I suspect the reason the room was pricey.
the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.
Parking is limited to 10 spaces or less on a first come, first serve basis, so be prepared to park in a nearby NCP.
Average price for Cardiff but definitely needs some attention to detail and some work on the standard of finish to compete with other hotels nearby.
