This was my first visit. I had an aromatherapy and the whole experience was wonderful. From my initial telephone conversation to book to the warm welcome at the spa. The masseuse Mia is highly trained, experienced and intuitive. I can't praise her enough...After my lovely spa session I went for a walk around the formal gardens ( staff were kind enough to allow this even though I wasn't booked in at the Hall). This continued to help my mental wellbeing after my aromatherapy. The mansion and grounds are stunning even though most plants had not woken up, being early Spring. Reading some of the other reviews I think it is quite right that members and formal diners at the hall take priority as the prices are high but for a reason. I stepped into the hall just to confirm that it was okay for me to walk around the gardens. The large oak door was opened for me by a very smartly dressed man/staff before my hand reached the handle. What a super service and one which staying guests or diners pay for.

Wonderful stay in one of their studio spa cottages. Room is beautiful, well laid out and lovely features. Service is very good and nothing too much trouble. Gareth showed me to my cottage, he was very informative and offered to help me with my bags.
Spa is just indescribable, its lovely!
Lovely, secured and just oozes relaxation.

Only one small blip, the heating gets rather carried away and in the hall between the main room, bathroom and kitchenette the radiator can't be lowered, it heated the entire room for me! Sorry to the next person if they like a warmer room, as I've turned the radiators off in the main room!

Loved it, just wish it was closer!

Enjoyed massages at the Spa followed by cream tea then a walk round the gardens. Service was very friendly and the tea was lovely. Interesting how they made gardens on the craggy North Wales hillside. Specially liked the white colour scheme in the rose garden.

This was our third stay at the hotel of which the last two were in a lovely suite. This hotel along with three sister hotels are owned by the National Trust hence why the hotel has lovely gardens and long walks in the woods. If you stay on a Monday you should eat in a local restuarant as it's the chef's day off. Dinner on other days is excellent with a good menu.

Had afternoon tea here. Beautiful old place with lovely gardens. The afternoon tea was served in wonderful surroundings with great views from all windows.
The sandwiches, cakes and scones were well presented and made. Very tasty. Highly recommended.

We booked a half day spa here. Whilst there wasn’t anything particularly wrong with the spa, we did feel it was really dated and could do with some refurbishment. The swimming pool area was really dark as there were no lights above and the windows were extremely narrow, which made it feel dingy and unpleasant. The steam room and saunas were nice and jacuzzi area was ok too.

The massages were ok, nothing amazing. Considering the price of the spa packages, I did expect better facilities.

The staff were lovely though so cannot fault them.

Didn’t get a chance to explore the hall itself or the grounds unfortunately but they looked good.

We stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon in North Wales. We had a beautiful, comfortable room overlooking Snowdonia and Conwy castle. The staff were very friendly, and Gareth in particular was very welcoming and helpful. We ate both nights in the restaurant - the food was delicious and well-priced. Pre-dinner drinks in the bar are recommended! We also booked in for a massage in the spa which was lovely.

On arrival our cottage was cold. To be fair It was a cold weekend but it was clear the heating had been left to air the cottage and should have been increased prior to our arrival to make it comfortable but I would guess this was to save money in case of a no show.
Fair enough I understand but it didn’t help that for the first night we’re were sat watching tv in our anoraks.
It was advertised with a fully equipped kitchen. However on arrival there was not a single piece of cutlery. No plates nothing at all so why bother with a kitchen.
Apparently there are two different websites one that offers a fully equipped kitchen And one that doesn’t. I cannot imagine that it costs very much to put a few knives and forks and plates in a kitchen unless the hotel wants to encourage people to use their restaurant. Having stayed at bodysgallen several times before Covid in the cottages and had a fantastic time I can only assume this is a cost cutting measure it was very very disappointing. From a business view I cannot understand it makes any sense. It might make sense in the short term but not for people to return. Whilst this is a critical review I hope that the management take note to encourage future guests to loyally return as we once did.
We did complain about the lack of kitchen facilities which they did offer to rectify minus the microwave toaster and hob but including cutlery and plates. We did not complain about the cottage being so cold because there was nothing that could be done.
The staff on the night we arrived were fantastic and as helpful as they could be.
I checked out the following morning after 1 night having booked for 3 nights clearly they were not happy.
The lady on reception was polite bur basically computer says no you have to pay for 2 nights even though you only stayed 1 night in case we cannot sell the room. Of course she did not mention if I would get a refund if they did sell the room. C'est La Vie
