First time visit and very impressed. The hotel has only been open about 12 months so all new. The rooms are modern, a good size, well equipped with a contemporary design. Situated adjacent to the adventure park which can be seen from the outside area whilst relaxing with a drink. Reception staff very polite and helpful. Could have done with more staff for the evening meal. Breakfast was plentiful, good and varied to suit all tastes.

The hotel, grounds and location are fantastic. Loads to do within a 30min drive. As we're travelling with a 3 year old we weren't able to surf (yet).
The staff were all really friendly.
Breakfast quality seemed to vary depending on the time you went down and how that particular batch of self serve food was cooked. It was by no means bad though.
Evening meal was slightly over average but being a hotel it was higher than equivalent quality outside of the hotel.
We'll 100% come back again, the whole family had a fantastic time.
My main criticism is that if you're staying multiple nights (4 in our case) they need to pay more attention when turning the room over. Don't just empty the bins. Check the toilet rolls, tea coffee etc and replace where necessary. If we complain the shower is leaking and leave sodden towels outside the room at 9:30am rather than just taking them away.. Replace them.
Final note, at the cost of this place a night you can do better than 2 ply bargain basement toilet roll!

Really basic stuff and would have lifted my score up to 5 stars.

Good hotel, need a car though as quite far out. Staff good, room very comfortable and excellent breakfast. Fitness and pool was very expensive and extra. Great pillows. Good air conditioning. No room in restaurant to eat in evening though which was a shame and meant we had to go out.

Absolutely beautiful, new build, gorgeous views.
We booked ahead with paddle boarding & had so much fun. Staff was great and we really lucked out with great weather !
Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were lovely, comfortable clean rooms, we would definitely come back,
Our kids were ages 8 & 11, the arcade area / pool tables / ping pong in the snacks area was a huge hit!
Next time we’ll do bikes and hopefully the zip line. (Need to book in advance for other activities)
Had the best views from our room watching all the busy surfers - wonderful time !!!

Stunning hotel in a rather remarkable location. Wonderful views of the mountains nearby with the activity centre on its doorstep. Decent little gym.

Downsides are the prices at the restaurant. Seem a bit in the high side for my liking, especially when there's not much else nearby.
I'm also not used to having to pay for the sauna facilities etc at hotels. Here it's £25 for 2 hours, even for guests, which seems a bit much unfortunately. Rather they charged slightly more for the room and include it in the price.

Lovely place though.

Had a fantastic holiday here, was originally due to stay in the glamping huts but the wave machine was broken so they upgraded us to the hotel. Had a view over the lake which was lovely, room was keen, large and a nice lay out. The restaurant food was expensive and not very nice but there is a great take away across the road called fusspot food. The spa is fantastic. Would recommend and stay here again.

It's not the lack of personnel that gets it 2 stars because it's a global problem. In fact the staff were excellent and worked hard to make up for shortfall and deserve all credit.
I also liked the TVs which allowed you to cast your own film.
The location is lovely as well.
The rooms were nice but toilets in the room are effectively like a public toilet stall in the room. And of course, there's not much air extraction so you had better be very familiar if you're sharing!
But the main issue is the usual big chain strategy of milking customers at every opportunity. They suggest there's a spa on the website but that's not true. There is if you're willing to pay £25 per person extra to use it. I've never had to pay extra to enter the spa. That's not for treatment, it's just to have a sauna or sit in the jacuzzi.
We were told that it's a separate business but I'm not convinced that's true, given that the separate business was able to charge my room!
Just disappointing to add £50 for each time a couple fancy a relax.

Our experience was not what we were expecting from a Hilton. By a long way.

The staff at the hotel were dishevelled, disengaged and lacking drive and overall, lacking professionalism. This seemed to be highlighted when I noticed an empty crisp packet with an apple core on the bar. These items stayed there throughout the duration of the two drinks we had, whilst the bar staff were chatting amongst themselves an walked past said items on numerous occasions. They seemed to be too busy being involved in each other's company rather than fulfilling their roles. It felt a bit like you were at a youth club.

We ate at the restaurant, but that too had a school canteen feel about it and the food itself was mediocre at best, yet the prices were relatively high (London prices in North Wales). We were too tired after our trip to get to the hotel to raise these issues with anyone, but as my companion rightly pointed out, these issues were glaringly obvious to us and should be to the Hilton management.

The size of the room was ok, but the water pressure in the room was woeful. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable (with no noticeable option to be able to change them, as we would have) and the WC felt like it was actually in the room. The gap where the door closed meant that privacy was compromised. The room had a “design over function” element to it, and they nearly got it right, but the parts that were wrong were too noticeable.

I wish I were writing a more glowing review, but unfortunately for us, the Hilton brand took a significant step down in our estimation.
