Thanks to Matthew and his team at Ty!
After a disastrous day we walked into the hotel and all was good, the car park was close, free and convenient with plenty of spaces.
The hotel reception was cheerful bright and spotlessly clean, the receptionist was so lovely and check in was swift and easy, the rooms were fantastic, very clean all amenities including plenty of towels and soaps etc, and very spacious.
We had a great nights sleep and the hotel was peaceful even though it was fully booked and next to the motorway you couldn’t hear it.
Breakfast was self service, and included pre prepared breakfast rolls, hot toast and condiments, cereals yoghurts, muffins and hot drinks, also available were unlimited bottles of water and juices.
Our stay was amazing - ALL STAFF WERE AMAZING, friendly and helpful especially Matthew and we were made to feel very welcome - would defo recommend

I really enjoyed my stay last Thursday night. I hadn't booked and needed somewhere to overnight on my way back to England from Wales. I arrived around 5pm and was given a very fair price, including breakfast. I was delighted with my room, which was beautifully fitted out, with everything one could need. Lovely spacious bathroom, a massive and very comfortable bed - and even a sofa. The tea, coffee and biscuits were also very nice and good to see they were Welsh brands. Breakfast the following morning was lovely. Nice to see a really good buffet breakfast again and also everything else you might like. All the staff I met were very welcoming and I really had a great stay. Despite the location near the M4, my room was quiet and I had a great night's sleep and was back on my journey very quickly again next day. I would actually go out of my way to do a stopover here again on other Welsh holidays I go on, it was so nice.

Good - reception staff, very polite and efficient. Location easy to find and reasonable parking. Price reasonable.
Bad - net curtains plastered in dust in the folds. Shower slow to drain and overflowed. Kettle location rather precarious, possible dangerous with kids about. Mould in bathroom and around windows. Opaque sliding glass door to bathroom mounted 3” off the wall offering little privacy. Door was too big for opening, so handles were hard to reach when closed. Bathroom sink was rather high and too far back in the unit.
Rooms rather small.
Obviously popular with tradesmen judging by the vehicles in the car park which somewhat monopolised more than one parking space.

This is a well laid out hotel with a good sized clean well maintained public area.

The check in was fairly quick as you can download as app to speed the process up.

The buffet breakfast was easy to access with plenty of tables available even when busy. Although it can be a bit consistent in terms of what is on offer from day today

The rooms were clean and comfortable and benefited from a sofa bed with an easy to use good sized shower.

The hotel housekeeping leaves something to be desired. Twice the room was not made up do a bit hit and miss and could be better.

Great quality hotel and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I went in at 4 am to see if there were any rooms available for a few hours sleep before I went to an interview. It was £71. I paid it because I was exhausted however I do feel that this was a little steep and could have been reduced given the check in time. The room however was cozy and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was lovely. On a normal day with full use of the room at a normal check in time I would say it’s worth the £71.

Had Sunday lunch with a friend. Slow service, tasty meal but the veg for both of us came in tiny ashtray size dish with a few shavings of carrots white cabbage and peas. Dessert lemon dart was delicious but such a small helping

We stayed for two nights on a trip around North and South Wales, we were welcomed as soon as we arrived very friendly staff. The rooms are very clean as is the hotel, we stayed after lock down so regulations were still in place but they supplied breakfast you could pick up in a bag all done very well wouldn't hesitate to book again thank you.

If I could give 10 stars then I would, this hotel is excellent. Parking is easy. Air conditioned. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is excellent. Rooms clean and attractive. Views fantastic. Last stay I asked for a queen room and asked them to make up the bed for me which they forgot to do, but when I pointed this out they apologised and immediately offered to fix it. Truly exceptional hotel, would not stay anywhere else in South Wales.
