Great hotel for the money. Can't argue with anything for the price we paid. (£140/night) great location. Friendly staff. Great bar. Decent breakfast. Rooms were ok. Would definitely stay again

We walked past the restaurant and found that the price looked very reasonable. The restaurant was simple but the staff was friendly. The food was cheap with the big portion! The crispy pork belly was freshly made and was really crispy and tender. It was served also with a side dish of vegetables. The burger was huge as well! It didn't fall apart when it was being eaten. This restaurant deserves more attention.

Excellent service and really enjoyed the drinks on tap - well kept local ales, fantastic. Just what the doctor ordered after a long day hiking. Nice vibe too - clearly a haunt for locals, and great fun and banter going on, terrific! The food looked great, and smelled delicious, regretted not staying for dinner, but will definitely try next time. Card and cash payment accepted.

Room was good 4 poster bed but the bathroom was basic and tired and let it down abit . The 4 poster could have been jazzed up with curtains or lights as well . Breakfast was great but you have to book a time if you don't you are turned away . They has a "secret garden" missed opportunity really no lights in the garden? Could have had fairy lights or even solar lighting but uneven turf and we ordered a pizza that never came. Really good position in the town and off street parking which was good

My first stay in the hotel here and I look forward to coming back. The staff weren’t just good, they were exceptional, from reception, bar, restaurant and cleaning. The food was the best I’ve ever had. Fresh, hot and generous portions. Lovely selection of welsh gins in the bar and a nice atmosphere about the place after a day out walking. A welcoming place which is dog friendly and in a fantastic location.

Staff lovely, very helpful nothing too much trouble, room was a really good size, comfy bed too. Breakfast for the hubby full Welsh breakfast was a plenty, lots of choice on cereals, yoghurts , pastries. I had mainly scrambled or fried eggs with bacon on toast, lovely service too. Dog was made to feel like one of the family there. Great parking at the hotel and great location. Thank you so much Glan Aber and all your team for making us feel so welcome. We will be back for sure 100%.

Fantastic find, can't rate this stay highly enough, staff were so lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Meal was delicious, fresh and a good size portion.
I stayed in the bunkhouse which was very cosy and all facilities were immaculate.
The surrounding area is great for walks and close to a lot of activities, the village is picturesque.

Its a little over priced, but you get what you pay for.

There are nicer places to stay in the lovely town of Betws-y-coed. (I suggest you look at the Royal Oak, as I've stayed their on a past trip or a local B&B which can be really nice!) We paid £93 for a night in November, this did seem over priced seeing as November generally is out of the 'Tourist season'. Thankfully we only intended it to be a place we set our head down at night after spending the day exploring the beautiful North Wales country side and the little local villages.

The staff are super friendly and happy to help there is a bar that serves food and drinks. It also has a little play area for kids. The Hotel also has a restaurant, the food is exactly the same as what they serve in the bar, however the environment is a lot quieter and calmer. Both Bar and restaurant are open to the public as well as guests staying the night.

There is parking at the rear, it's tight and larger cars will find it a task to park in the spaces, but at least it's free.
