I’ve stayed in some poor places but this takes the biscuit. Turned up at 10pm and our room wasn’t ready as apparently you have to inform them that even though you booked a family room, they don’t set it up as a family room unless you ask.

The room was disgusting. Mould on the wall, the bin still had other peoples rubbish in it. The walls and skirting boards were filthy as was the bathroom. I’ve never seen a travelodge of this poor standard. You should be ashamed.

Do not stay here.

Rooms need renovation, no head wash in the dispenser, the bed for child too narrow and guys never pay or preorder breakfast. They charged 20 GBP and we couldn't eat any of it except the cereal.
Very dissatisfied

This is my third booking in a month.
I'm on first term names with the staff there as that's how friendly they are.
Sheila Sarah Laura Brandon. That the few I always see while staying. .. there's a nice walk over to the local village with local shops Greg's tescos Co op cafes. And even a harvester next door a very very short walk from hotel.

A normal travellodge, friendly service and free parking. Had issues with our neighbours who kept slamming the door at 2am, staff dealt with it correctly and issue was resolved.big thankyou to Brandon who sorted it out and also was took out time to write a list of local places to visit. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Dirty horrible place. Looks like the cleaners went on strike with the train drivers. One member of staff outside smoking saying he can't wait to get out of this s**t hole... You and me both, mate!

ROOMS :

Three stars for the room, because although the room itself was clean and nicely presented, the bathroom was not cleaned. There was hair on the soap dispenser, hair on the bathtub tap and hair in the bathtub and dust at the back of the toilet.

I worked as a cleaner in fast food chains to put my self through uni and l cleaned the toilets and tables to standard l would expect to find them, my toilets were always spotless we passed mystery shop inspections with flying colours.

The soap dispenser by the toilet was empty and there was no spare toilet paper.
I had to go to reception multiple times to ask for items to be sorted.

Really, I know it is a budget hotel but when a booking is done, someone should be tasked with going to do a final check that everything is in order for the next guests to arrive to a clean pleasant room. Emphasis on the word clean.

SERVICE :

I gave 4 stars for service because the gentleman who received us on the night we arrived and the lady that was behind the desk during the day shift were fantastic, prompt and efficient in dealing with my queries.

The hotel loses 1 star because the room should have been checked and the bathroom properly cleaned after the previous guests had checked out.

LOCATION :

I give four stars. It is in the middle of the countryside. Beautiful and peaceful. There is a Harvester next door but nothing else, not even pathways and l would not encourage anyone to walk the narrow country roads with a child. There are no playground facilities or benches in the vicinity. You need to have access to a vehicle.

We stayed here recently to attend a family wedding close by. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The room was spotless, we were pleasantly surprised how lovely our stay was. Totally recommend.

Reasonably priced, it is bit out of the way but close to motorway. Plenty of parking. There is a harvester in front, did not try but heard it is good. Apart from this, will have to travel a bit to get to other eateries. Feels bit dated but for the price it is fine. Costed me £35.
