This place was a true revelation. I was expecting a mediocre experience for my overnight stay here but instead was confronted with a plethora of visual and sensual delights. I am truly heartened that places like this still exist because upon entering this domain we were not just mildly surprised but completely transported back in time to 1984. Such was the attention to detail with the fittings and carpets and furniture. The owners could easily have a second career in film set construction. Even such details as moss in the corner of windows were truly awe inspiring. I was so lost in emotion i forgot to ask what their technique was for getting paint to peel. Oh how do I put into mere words and do justice to this sanctuary from the night?....first and foremost was the walk of shame in the morning going to breakfast which I was dreading due to the fact me and my girlfriend were bonking the drunken holy crap out of each other and making the bed and walls earn their keep. Alas not even an accusing glance as we entered the swish red themed dining area for breakfast. Which was toast and coffee and a magical orange liquid which was called juice. Yes this juice was like nectar of the gods and definitely revived me like no other potion I have encountered before. My stay here was like an escape from the hell of modern society and even the lump on my head from hitting crt television straining on its wall mount failed to squash my enthusiasm and love for this hotel even my toes getting stuck in the holes in the bed sheets just added to my joy. The final joy was tripping over the step in the middle of the room and nearly breaking my leg just made me smile even more. The sloping floor was icing on the cake. I love this place and it should have some kind of award for leading the way into the past and beyond. Thank you. Thank you very much.

Reasonable prices, from 15 pounds. Friendly. Simple, but clean rooms, bath and toilets share. Still good. They also offer room, shower. And toilet included, at higher prices. Small pub, if you like a pint evenings, breakfast room. Breakfast included. Nothing big, but coffee, toast, marmalade and butter. Milk, Corn Flakes and Orange drink. Just opposite Swansea beach, near city centre. As of May 2017, I would recommend.

This place is cheap/basic, but better value for money than you can find for anything other than lidl these days. The staff are friendly and helpful. I will always stay here when in Swansea
