Had a wonderful meal but tables could have been wiped and the stickyness on the bar was concerning. Drinks were on the warm side HOWEVER food was wonderful and staff very welcoming. A few tweaks and more attention to detail and you'd get 5 stars, I suggest you give your front line staff more credit phenomenal service hint hint. To note again your beer is always on the warm side and often tastes unlike the product labelled. Is management the issue because your nearly there.

The food here is truly special. Had the penne pasta for a starter and the Moroccan chicken for main. Superb flavours from the first to the last bite. The Chef here is a pro. Friendly staff and nice decor too. Went here for a midday working lunch but a cool place for any meal.

Chose this place purely because of the location after long drive we needed somewhere to sleep so we could drive even more the day after. Unfortunately sleeping wasn't possible due to silly green light in the room! Must be from some sort of detector. Honestly the whole room was green! Noise from the bar was absolutely shocking. But I'm not gonna take away stars for it because we knew we booked hotel- bar. Like some previous review says dust was on all flat surfaces. And under my bed was just absolutely disgusting. The thing is I didn't even look under my bed, I discovered it accidentally when I came from a shower and something got stuck to my foot- huge piece of dust. The whole frame was covered in it too. No remote control, the toilet sit wasn't fitted to the toilet and the bathroom door too big. I can go on and on. The thing is someone really made an effort refurbishing it. You can tell the room is modern and very comfy. Why not clean it? You can tell the dust been there for ages! And also please get rid of the green light! Sleeping was impossible.not great when u have to wake up in the morning and drive 5h. Also false advertising - you specified you have free parking. No parking on site. It wasn't pleasant to check in thru a bar too. No stars due to the horrific green light and the dust.

Delux room included a mirror in the bathroom with Bluetooth speakers. Bed was ultra comfy and the heating provided a good night sleep. Room was decent for the price. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely visit again…..

Bad parts,
Hair dryer didn’t work
No breakfast (£5 Greg’s gift card)
One small bottle of shampoo and soap for two people.

In all honesty hard to fault the place. Very satisfied.

Went out for a Christmas meal with friends from the street. Tables were poorly arranged not allowing enough space for people sitting on the bench seat to get in and out. The first course and pudding were excellent. We had to wait well over an hour for the mains and when they arrived the weren't the best. The Yorkshire pudding and stuffing were hard. The vegetables were just warm and not hot. Some of the party did not get what they ordered and just had what looked to be extra stuffing. If a mistake had been made I would expect the manager to come to the tables and explain and offer an alternative. Very, very poor. It seemed the staff were more concerned getting pizzas to customer's who came in after us rather than ensure our three courses came to us in a timely manner. Appreciate the really busy evening for the staff but that is no excuse. For myself not sure I would organise an evening out here.

the service was okay, bit slow especially on a non busy day.
drinks took a while to come out after taking the order
food shortly followed thankfully
the pizza was delicious! they accommodated to our request to have a tomato base instead of bbq
would recommend for a nice pub meal.
4*s Because the toliets were a bit untidy.

Stayed a night. Arrived at 4.55pm to be told the outside door to the rooms was not working and we had to use the pub entrance. We stayed for a birthday celebration but we were told the pub would shut at 12.30. I said someone should be on the premises for people wanting to come in and out.
Their answer was the management won't pay for that. The only way we could get out was through the emergency exit but that wasn't allowed. We were locked in and had to make sure we were back before pub shut. We felt we were dictated to on what time to be home.
It seems this isn't the first time this has happened.
Parking very difficult as it's on the side of the road.
Room was very clean and large
Only problem sink behind the door very difficult to get to. You bend gown to brush your teeth but hits the wall and then you bump your head on the shelf (talking from experience)
Would I stay again "No"
