Superb food, you can really taste the quality. Lovely rooms and the service was second to none when we arrived for dinner with more then planned. They coped admirably and the food didn't suffer at all. Would stay there in a heartbeat again

This is our second time visiting the hotel as we loved it so much. Its a lovely building, I think of a converted church. It's very cosy and warm which is a big thing to me staying away. The staff are lovely and breakfast is amazing. We've stayed in the same room twice and our only minor complaint is a brighter lamp so we can read from it rather than having the big light on. Other than that it's perfect!

Lovely small friendly hotel with lovely staff. Everywhere very clean. Deducted one star from rooms as the sink in the bathroom was the smallest possible but it only served to amuse us trying g to wash in it. Food was very good although the week menu could have one or two plainer/English dishes for our taste but that is purely personal.

We found this hotel originally as a Groupon deal and have been back for a 2nd stay only a few months later. The hotel is situated on a fairly busy little roundabout.

First occasion we stayed in the new annexe in a nice new modern room (room 12) equipped with a fridge 👍 and microwave? ...as well as the complimentary tea making facilities and normal accessories you find in most hotels. It's worth noting that the double glazing kept most of the traffic noise at bay.

The 2nd occasion we stayed in the old original building in room 3 with a nice window seat (no fridge or microwave this time) As the old building is listed there is no double glazing so the trade off is a better room with original features but more noise. Personally I found the noise very easy to live with and slept perfectly well.

There is off street parking but care must be taken squeezing your vehicle between the corner of the building and the retaining boundary wall (graded listing means it is what it is and can't be altered)

The staff are great and really accommodating with requests for special occasions etc. The food is top quality and locally sourced where possible and the meals produced are soooo good, great chef!

Great cocktails (and I don't like cocktails) the Roasted Kraken espresso martini is perfect, highly recommend.

Great breakfast too with a large choice to suit all tastes. Not tried the afternoon tea here but its popular with locals.

A great example of a hotel and restaurant that's doing the right things with the right staff, great chef and kitchen staff... all the perfect ingredients for a perfect stay.

The location only received 4 stars but that is purely down to the roundabout location... don't let that put you off... give it a try... highly recommend.

My wife and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary at the Lemon Tree last night. Room 18. Absolutely faultless. One minor niggle from me was that the room was too warm even though the radiator was turned off. James, Sarah and the cook superb.

Very very disappointed with staff, service and quality of food. Over priced and under severed. Will rate zero if I can.
