Absolutely stunningly revamped. The girls were amazing and the location is perfect. Beautiful residence and a must when travelling through South Wales.

The staff, the room, the breakfast and ambience 5*! And I've stayed in a few hotels in my life. I will never forget the memories I made here. You feel like the castle is just for you as they only have a handful of guests. The only issue, the sister hotel for dinner had limited uninspiring vegan options. But I'm sure this will improve with time.

Wonderful hotel with fantastic service that began before we arrived. The room we stayed in was large and one of the most upper floors. There is no lift and the stairs narrow as you climb, as is true of most taller structures but in the 12th century. There are wonderful nooks for reading and relaxing. Other than breakfast, there is no other onsite food available.

5 stars isn’t enough for this amazing castle. We loved it here, lovely rooms, very comfortable & everything you could want. The staff are brilliant, very helpful, friendly & accommodating. & that breakfast will take some beating. We are already planing our next visit.

Wow..... Great escape away.. Fabulous staff (thank you girls.. you were amazing), all those little extras were so thoughtful. Excellent breakfasts.... Great local area for walks. Not for the feint hearted if you don't do stairs. Fantastic and inspired renovation... can't fault the experience.

Wonderful hotel. Everything you would expect from a 5 star and more.
The hotel is stunning, yet small. With only 6 rooms it makes you feel as though you are the only guest. The sun room and honest bar are prime examples of this, large luxurious rooms which were empty apart from us.
The staff are attentive but not over bearing, which I always find is a tricky balance to master.
Plus extra little details which make this hotel so special. For example, the team found out I took honey in the morning tea and I found a jar waiting for me when I got back that afternoon which I thought was a wonderful touch.
