Ivy Bush Royal Hotel by Compass Hospitality

Stayed with my wife for a Wedding weekend. Check-in was easy and quick. Staff on hand to welcome and resolve any issues quickly. Room I was in was basic but very clean. Mattress very comfortable. Very clean on outside areas. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice. Good quality ingredients.

Would highly recommend. Will definitely be going back. ££ very reasonably priced.

The staff are excellent. The food at night was very tasty and well presented. The downstairs rooms have been updated . The bedroom we had was quite small and rather tatty, curtains torn, carpet has seen better days.The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless . We stayed on the hottest day ever and there was no air-conditioning in the bedroom!!. The breakfast was plentiful,but sausages were pretty awful. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Rooms are lovely and clean, comfy beds. Food in the restaurant was spot on, pub grub prices but restaurant quality food. Highly recommended. Thanks for another fabulous stay 👍

Came to Carmarthen to see friends and the hotel was in the perfect location for the town centre, only a few minutes walk.

Staff were very pleasant, rooms very clean an impressive when you walk in, much better than i expected. Opted for the queen size bed and it was comfortable.

Breakfast was nice too.

Good thing is the free parking which is great for hotel in a town center. No leaving your car off site in a paid carpark.

Wish the bar was open late, fancied a nightcap just after 11pm but the bar was closed, although I'm guessing not economical with not many guests drinking late.

I recommend and will be using again myself.

Stayed 4 nights with a coach party. Room was clean comfortable and well equipped though the bathroom didn't have a light for the mirror. Staff impressed us by their hard work and friendliness. Breakfast buffet had a good choice with various kinds of fresh fruit, cereals, porridge and cooked items. Especially good fried bread! Dinner was good though it was difficult to serve such a large group. The real downside was being in a low ceilinged room for dinner which led to noise levels that became unbearable.

Only popped in for an evening meal, even though we hadn't booked.
Staff were very friendly and the service was good. Bar very clean with good selection of drinks.
Outside area really needs a good tidy up - overflowing ashtrays, major cobweb action, leaves everywhere plus a selection of abandoned furniture.
Loved the menu! Spoilt for choice but ended up going for pate and seabass. Husband opted for soup and burger. All were delicious! Proper chips, I believe the soup homemade and lovely fresh bread.
Good value for money 😊

Sunday lunch was a glorious Family event. Utterly fab food. Great service and well worth it.. keep up the good work.. we will be back soon enough..

I love staying here. Staff are always friendly and welcoming, food is great, nice clean rooms and overall you have a very pleasant stay. Hope to be back soon. 😃👍
