A very nice stay at very good prices. I was fitted in last minute due to getting stranded due to breaking down in the area but a disastrous day was turned into a very nice experience. The food was exceptional and wine choices amazing. The rooms were well equipped and beds comfortable. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and would go the extra mile to help. Would recommed and will definitely be returning.

I stayed for work.
Room was very comfortable and clean. I didn't have a smart tv in my room but they are available in some rooms.
Every meal I had on my stay was unbelievably good!

Disappointing, Caesar salad ok, skin left on some of the chicken. The batter on the cod was very thick and soggy. Sundaes were tasty but only one scoop of ice cream left us unsatisfied. Managers were using the restaurant as their office, using laptops and mobiles. Spoilt the atmosphere, I don't expect that in a hotel.

Disgusting staff member behaviour. After a lovely camping holiday we decided to go for some tea and coffee before heading home. Once we finished our drinks and attempted to leave, we were confronted by a very rude and aggressive member of staff for using the wrong exit. We apologised but she continued to shout and be extremely rude. When we went to use another exit a male member of staff confronted us again and the woman marched over in a threatening manner. I would not recommend coming to this establishment, avoid at all costs. Appalling.

Appalling. Whilst trying to find the exit after drinking a tea and coffee, we were confronted by several rude members of staff shouting at us that the hotel is not a walk through. As paying customers this was disgracefully disappointing to be spoken to like this. I would not recommend stopping here for a friendly visit.

Absolutely loved the quirky building, brilliant room and spotless clean , housekeeping 5 stars !!! Comfortable bed and spacious lovely atmosphere in the bar …. Breakfast was fab , lovely ladies served us Saturday and Sunday , plus we were impressed that the lady in reception helped the breakfast staff when they were busy ! Only downside was the gentleman who was wearing a light shirt and tie , greying hair was quite abrupt and bossing the staff about and we saw and heard him muttering under his breath swear words which our 12 year old saw it was as he was clearing a table where a group of gentleman had been having their breakfast, not professional at all ! Needs to change his attitude!! All other staff were great ! We will definitely recommend the hotel to family and friends as it is in a great location !!! …..
