The staff, service and overhaul venue was good.
Although some areas cleanliness needs more.... cigarette ends, general litter outside and glitter stuck to wet floor from previous evening.
Sunday lunch was average, although beef too chewy.
Was a lovely sunny day and nice to sit outside.

Went here for an 80th birthday party. The buffet was absolutely amazing with a wide variety of upmarket foods - not a chicken drumstick in sight! The staff were all delightful and did everything to make it an enjoyable evening.

Great pub, home from home - They even have a cat 🐈. Polly 😍

This is my second stay here and I would come back again. I was here on my own for work and the staff made me feel at home, they were friendly and very helpful.

I had multiple meals here and the food is soooo good and reasonably priced.

The rooms are above a pub, so you have to expect a bit of noise. It didn't bother me as it was quiet by 10:30pm - 11pm. If you have young children I wouldn't recommend staying, but there is a small play park which is good if you're visiting for food.

Very nice room in this budget hotel above a pub. It was a Saturday night so there was some music as expected. We didn't find it to loud and after a few hours travelling and then a visit to the Aberfan memorial, we had dinner in the restaurant. Good pub grub and a couple of beers, I slept like a log.
Would stay again, and recommend it. For the price it is a bargain.

I would like to thank the Brewer's lodge for a very pleasant stay last weekend. I had a fantastic Saturday night with them and the best night's sleep I've had in ages. Their rooms are modern and very comfortable and their Sunday carvery is to die for honestly give them a try you really won't regret it.

Good spot tucked out of the way in Blackwood. The place has a big bar area with plenty of seating and a pool table and darts board. It also has a large dining area and a good amount of out door seating. The food is okay but certainly nothing to sing and dance about, the bar is usually quiey busy but always easy enough to get served.

They also offer rooms to stay in and alone caters to private events.

Over all an okay experience I did visit when there was a big party in the bar and they also had a private party on too so I don't want to be one to rush and judge as it was extremely busy.

It's a nice place bit the cleaning could be better and room 10B I was given was full of black mould in the bathroom and I got one of the bar staff to move me to a new room 10A in room 10A the bathroom door has something on it I don't know what it is at all and it's Brown as well on the weekend here its really busy and full of live weekdays very Quiet the food on Sunday was quiet try that was I felt and my two mates who joined me as well and even my wife we had dinner here on Monday night and Chicken was dry as well but the beef was cooked nicely and cooked perfectly I think as well it's to Expensive the rooms £60 for a night when you can get a room from Premier Inn down the road for £47 a night and here you don't get nothing for £60 and you can't even buy Breakfast here as well let down
