American woman gets a warm, friendly, understanding welcome from the staff and patrons. I needed a room in the middle of the night rather urgently. Nigel was wonderful upon my arrival. The next morning I was welcomed like a "warm cookie" by all the patrons. Please share this with all my new friends from the wayward Oregonian . I made it home safe. I cant express enough how wonderful you all are!! I love you all! xxx Annette

This is no longer a 4 star hotel - more like 2 star. Expensive too considering the room quality. Stayed here as a last resort when we were let down by another hotel. They did warn us that it was karaoke night but didnt realise that we'd be kept awake until 6 a.m.!! No restaurant or breakfast available. Thankful for the bed but regretted not having looked elsewhere.

Since being taken over the Landlady has completely transformed The Castle Hotel. The decor is absolutely stunning and this is no longer a run down local. This is something to rave about. The selection of alcohol and for me, a cider drinker had both of my favourites on draught - Thatchers Haze and Cold River. There is also Rekorderlig for those with a real sweet tooth and plenty of lagers on draught too. Plenty of spirits and other drinks as well.

We went for a Christmas meal and I can honestly say no roast that I have ever had in Pembrokeshire has anywhere matched it. For starters, the roast potatoes were actually CRISPY, not soft like those that have been sitting around for a while as you get in other places. The beef was incredible, so tender and literally melted. There was a fine selection of veg, and plenty of it. They even gave us extra roasties and yorkshires should we have needed them. I also had some of my boyfriends pate starter and an apple crumble, both equally delicious.

The chef was so accommodating to our friend who is severely coeliac and lactose intolerant. After a contamination issue in Budapest she has been afraid to eat out in 5 months and here she ate comfortably which is probably the most precious thing for us all.

Absolutely 5* star service, food and greeted with a smile. Will be coming back for the main menu, and certainly for drinks. I hear there’s a karaoke back on that is definitely a bit of me. Sadly didn’t take pictures of the inside, go see it for yourself!
